I'm not a huge fan o MHs catalogue. But Imperium is easily in my top metal songs of all time. The song has everything. I saw them live around this time too, when the intro came on I imploded.

This was a very fun period of time to be a machine Head fan. The band was broken and lost after supercharger then somehow wrote and released through the Ashes. Then followed that up with the blackening.

The Burning Red and Supercharger were both cool albums. It's nice that Machine Head doesnt renegate them and still play songs of those albums to this day. I just saw the band last saturday here in Rio de Janeiro Brazil and some of the best moments of the concert were when they played songs from those albums (specially Bulldozer, for me). Still, those albums are not exactly my favorite ones.

i remember being there. it was a mix of cold rainy days and 30°+ heat on the next. i threw up from jägermeister (which i cant even smell without getting sick today), i broke my thumb on a stupid accident and i met machine head backstage, getting autographs and pictures with the band. one of the best festivals ive been to. weird that it has been 20 years
