Echoing the feathers instead of a 3rd pass down the spine to get back down to the center of the custom feather motif! Brilliant!!! Absolutely brilliant!!! 🤩🤩😍

I was hooked with the “Midnight Quilt Show” when you found a little fabric fuzz in your wine! My BIG question is, when using thread of a similar color to the fabric…..HOW do you SEE it? Of course in some areas it will show up somewhat, but right now, I am using a light grey on a blue and white (tiny) floral background. I can’t see the thread, so I’m guessing where the stitching is….sometimes incorrectly! What’s your trick?

I’m so excited, just received my kit❗️I know I’m a lil late but no worries. Angela as you were marking out the feathers, I was wondering if using a stencil or using rulers would work. If yes, which would be better for to use for quilting. I’m asking just in case I suck at freemotion quilting‼️😍

So. Is is weird to quilt out with the custom feather and quilt back down with the simple feather? Seems like that would reduce travelling but not sure how it would look.

So just to clarify, you’re using the pounce pad to put the chalk design on the quilt , and then marking over that with the water pencil? I have a pounce and a pattern but could never figure out how exactly to use it.

How do you set your machine to make it easy to move the quilt around. I have a long arm and I know how to move the machine to make design but don’t know how to do it by moving the fabric to get a design. Do you set the feed locks up or down?

Does anyone have a preferred brand of blue marker pen? I did a little “ erasing” with a wet rag and the ink seems to have bled into areas other than the design motif area. I sure hope this washes out! (I ran out of quilting paper which is my preferred way to draw without marking the quilt itself.)

Dritz sells a chalk pencil...with different color chalk...I use that

Thanks for watching! It's a HQ stitch 710 sewing machine. Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore, but there should be a newer model coming out soon. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
