You have a long arm machine. . . I don't know much about machines. I just purchased a Singer HD6380, a low shank machine. Can I still buy a quilting foot, for low shank, and quilt with the templates you are demonstrating?? I love your videos - fast and to the point and well edited.

But you can bet that if I can see when all 3 surgeries are done, im hopping over to the store website and purchasing the panel kit and your 2 new rulers!!! Ive learned what I've been doing wrong when I was using my rulers so im gonna make a few quilt sandwiches and practice practice practice!!! 😁😁 Thank you Angela!!!!

Question for the live chat: I am using the F wave. Is the quarter inch guideline just inside the curve supposed to line up with my previous stitch line? Also, any tips to control zagged restart after moving the ruler? TIA.

Angela, thanks so much for providing these instructive quilalongs! I did the dot to dot and fills one, and learned so much in the process. I do find, however, starting this ruler one, I’m way more apt to be critical of less than perfect stitches and lines with ruler work, opposed to free motion, where if I make an oops, I can fill around it to make it more purposeful looking. With ruler work, how do I keep myself from constantly wanting to go in with my seam ripper and correct my mistakes from slipping rulers et al? I am not on Facebook, so i won’t be participating in the live q and A , but would love some feedback on working on wonderful just not perfect ruler work. Doing my best, tho! Thanks! Wendy

Would practicing with Freezer paper and 2 pencils connected with a rubber band help to show the patterns that you can get with your rulers? Of course one would have to be higher or left so that it didn't mark (maybe leaving it unsharpened). If I have time to practice I will try to do this to see if it works. Just trying to find away to practice without using up all my valuable fabric. I still need the practice but thought it might give you away to get specific patterns. I am so enjoying this. Just wish I had more time to practice.

Can't be at computer for live chat but please - - you have three rulers coming out for low shank, any chance Sid will be next? Unfortunately for me I already have all the ones listed as coming out now - but may have to splurge on Squiggy again. Thanks (LOVE Elvira, would love her in low shank too. She was my first - I do doll quilts so that 2" specialty is big for me.)

Is there a way to do your wishbone pattern with a ruler of some sort? The pattern is on the Taj ruler packaging but I can't figure out how to do it.

What kind of machine are you using?
@darcisavelli5464 жыл бұрын
I received the panel and other things in the mail today and I was going to do this and make sure I caught up and I was sewing for a little while and something happened with my machine and it locked up on me. I have a Singer Patchwork and whenever I step on the pedal C4 comes up. I looked in my manual and all it says is to turn it off and then back on. It hasn’t helped at all. I have only had my machine since Christmas.

I have a question. I often get stuck in just one place. I see you have one hand on the ruler and one on the quilt. Is this what I'm doing wrong? Am I pushing too hard with both hands against the ruler?
@janraster2004 жыл бұрын
How do you keep the ruler straight when quilting horizontally across a wider panel? Do you mark a horizontal line and try to follow it?
@kittygage44494 жыл бұрын
I'd like to know this too!

I am using Elvira, and am not understanding the stop and start marks, when shifting the ruler to do the next stitching, if I start from the bottom start mark again, my wavy line doesn't work out right, it and I am wondering what I am doing wrong.

LOW SHANK Users - does anyone have the HandiQuilter Wave F ruler? It's listed as a 1/4 inch tall. Are you able to use it with your low shank machine? I love the shape but worried it won't fit in every direction around the ruler foot.
@lindytrevanion2364 жыл бұрын
I have one, I don't believe it will work in every direction around your foot. It's ok on my high shank pfaff but if my finger gets in the way of the screw it sure hurts!
