𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗭𝗘: I forgot to say what needle I had in my machine and thats because I never really change it out from fabric to paper, it's a universal 80 (size 12) I don't use big needles because they leave big exit holes in the back side. Hugs Donna

📌I forgot to mention the sewing machine needle I used, it is a universal size 80 (12) this will not leave a big exit hole on the bottom side. Don't be thinking you have to use a heavy duty needle because you don't have to, a big needle will leave a big exit hole in the bottom side, so just stick with the smaller needle, it goes through just fine. I also used standard fabric sewing thread, you could use a topstitch thread if you want to muck around with the tension. Give it ago even if you have an older machine you'll be suprised at how well it handles the paper. hugs Donna 😃🦋

I was going to ask about the needle. I was thinking along the lines of a denim needle, are they about the same or way different?

@@silverpromidi a denim needle is heavier, i dont have one to compair the pint and thickness you don't really need it, for example, if you have a denim needle in it from last use try it and see how big the exit holes are? if too big go smaller. I can sew 1 layer of corregated cardboard with the 80 easily xx

My sewing machine is a 'baby'size ,and have two speed which is rabbit and turtle (you can imagine how fast it can 😂). I am not sure it can sewing a thicker one but anyway I just making small and mini one, so that will be perfect to let me have a try. With ❤ and hugs😊

Wow that’s wonderful! I have a mini so probably won’t get that much. Guess it’s a down side to getting this instead of a real one. I’m still new to sewing, but once I get a better grasp, I will definitely get a larger one. I would love to be able to do this. Thanks for sharing! Hugs 🤗❤️

oh yeh upgrade as soon as you can, you will learn a lot more with a full size machine, try getting a few pieces of scraps together and see how many your tiny machine will sew through? if it sews through 6 folded in half that's 12 pages (and a 200gsm cover) and while a small notebook still cute and handy, happy crafting 🦋🪡 hugs Donna

I have always feared I would break my sewing machine (I have a cheap Brother’s machine) so have been hesitant to try sewing paper or card stock. Would a universal needle work with sewing paper and card stock? I guess I need to give it a try. Thanks for sharing this information.

hey Morgaine we can break a needle sewing fabric at anytime, brother is a great machine that's what I used in the video, yes use a universal size 80 (12) this size leaves a smaller exit hole on the bottom side, give it a go start with 8 pages that will still give you a nice size notebook happy crafting 🦋🪡 hugs Donna
