This video shows the importance of choosing the right place for your [MACHINE ZERO].
Weather you have or have not got Homing Switches.
If you have no Homing Switches, then I recommend putting the X & Y in a Safe place, and the Z axis at the Maximum height you can, that way you're Safe Z will always be well above the job.
