Will 01 4runner 4wd rotors work? I have some laying around?

Was curious, which rotors work best. Rotors from a 89-95 V6 pickup, or a 96-01 V6 Tacoma?

Can I use the 1993 4runner 2gn brake discs on the hilux front solid axle? Greetings Panama
@analog56x4 жыл бұрын
not really, no. you'll run into issues with hub clearance. unless you put the rotor on the rear of the hub, but that defeats the purpose, and i also dont know where you'd end up having to place the caliper.

How long did you spend turning them down?
@analog56x3 жыл бұрын
I think i had it down to 10-15 minutes each. The hardest part is the setup. Total time taken on setting up the lathe, machining, and setting the lathe back to how it was was about 2 hours. If i had a lathe with a bigger swing, it would have taken probably 45 minutes. I had to do some kinda janky stuff to be able to turn them haha

@@analog56x I need mine done so this helps with cost per hour estimate
@analog56x3 жыл бұрын
@@SubePelayo928 awesome, glad i could help. Most machine shops charge 1hr minimum, so depending on rates, you could spent up to 150$ id imagine.

Its different for every hub... just machine the hub down so its like .050" clearance, and you'll be fine.
