I really felt that. Not to mention that math questions can naturally sound passive agressive.

I would have imagined she would be confused by how to integrate an absolute value but nope, she was confused at the integral symbol lmao Thank you for the Chima clip! It's pretty rare to see one usually.
@liamconn352 жыл бұрын
I did the math out and the answer is 22/3, this problem really is a pain because it turns one problem into three. You have to find the roots of the quadratic and then solve two definite integrals.

Oh man, god this hurts to watch, it's so painfully relatable. And is the source link not working or just me? Also wow that handwashing thing was really the ending of the stream lmfao.

Don't know why the link didn't work. But it works now! Thanks for letting us know!

Yeah the handwashing is a reoccurring meme on this meme queen's repertoire

Poor Chima, she's too relatable Guess this is why Vtubers are bad at math xD Chima should always use the handwashing technique, it's legendary lol

As a person who failed algebra 1 and barely passed highschool I don’t understand this at all to many letters and numbers

Can't throw any shade. I am (more like "was") a licensed engineer and I don't remember a single thing about calculus (nor do I want to)
@stephenvarholy37553 жыл бұрын
The correct answer is 42. 42 is the answer to life, universe and everything.

cute! the answer is 22/3 btw.

Unless I'm majorly messing up, isn't it 6?
@delib633 жыл бұрын
It is 22/3, since there's an absolute value. Without it, it would be 6.
@poiri3 жыл бұрын
@@delib63 I suppose, the whole question was written strangely, as was the derivation, so I just assumed that was meant to be a parenthesis.

@@poiri Yeah I can definitely see that. If I remember correctly, she later corrected that the "y=" part was a mistake.

@@delib63 yeah proper notation would not include that y=

But that’s such an easy integral though
@Stolanis3 жыл бұрын
Don't matter how easy something may seem *to you*, if the student don't have the right mental equipment for it then you might as well ask them to hammer in a nail with their bare hands.
@poiri3 жыл бұрын
@@Stolanis of course of course it's all in jest. Though I would have expected anyone who has finished high school to at least have a loose grasp of the basics of integrals, not that there is a reason for most people to remember that stuff.

@@poiri Implying that people passively retain much of what they learned in high school lol Besides, I'd bet that many (maybe most) entry-level high school calc classes don't teach past derivatives into integrals
@Mojito4653 жыл бұрын
High school doesnt even cover integrals or derivatives.
@liamconn352 жыл бұрын
@@poiri Dude calc wasn't even required at my highschool, half of my peers in senior year hadn't taken calculus, no way you're gonna know integrals if you haven't taken calc. Although I'll admit it's a bit weird she knew derivatives but seemed completely unfamiliar with integrals, maybe she studied up quickly on derivatives before the stream.
