What is the purpose of slaving, gear or thread cutting?

The primary application for slaving axes would be a dual drive system, think gantry. Examples would be Router, WaterJet etc.

Great ! One question. My salve axis is going a bit faster then x axis. In the lenght of 2000 mm slave axis is faster 10 mm or so. Why it is so?

I have the same Issue. I have been searching the internet trying to find out why. Have You figured it out? It was turning the opposite direction RANDOMLY. I Upgraded my powersupply to fix that to my controller
