I have the greatest wrestling story ever. Some time in the 80s(I'm not sure when but I'm 49 now)a buddy had his B-day by having 3 friends go to a wrestling match at the Capital Center outside D.C.We set 1 row back from the ring.It was televised and the Junkyard Dog picked 2 people to go into the ring with him.I was picked with a kid I didnt know.Break dancing was big and he wanted us to break dance and we did.It was crazy to look from the ring and see a sold out venue.Great memory.

I had a weekend long conversation with Randy in 2009. I complimented how good he looked in his first ever appearance on tv as macho man in his family's fed, that someone uploaded to youtube. He said he would put me on his shoulder like elizabeth back in the day. Then he challenged my husband to a match in the living room . I'm such a mark for macho man. Like since I've been 8. 35 years

His dad Angelo was on the PE faculty staff. I went to a nearby HS and are team played against his.I played baseball with Randy Poffo in 1971. Randy was a senior. Forever embedded in my brain. ☆☆☆☆ Oooooh Yeah!!!! Rip Randy, Liz, and Angelo.

The day The Macho Man died, I worked at a local car dealer that just had serviced the Jeep he was driving. Yes we 1st thought , what did we do wrong, sad but relieved it was nothing we did that caused the crash. The Macho Man and his wife were both customers. Every few months they would come in, dropping off one car and picking up their other car after we serviced it. He was always super nice to everyone who recognized him. He would also gladly give you a signed photo. This area of Tampa Bay is very popular with professional wrestlers. Often I would see Hulk Hogan , Bruce the Barber Beefcake, Greg The Hammer Valentine, Leaping Lenny , and maybe a few others in the area.

Randy really was terrific, entertainment full on, beyond the point, when it hurt. His clothes were on point too. I reckon he aquired and developed his persona on and off stage from wearing these 'suits of armour'.... And styling the eyewear consolidated his look.

Even though I haven't followed wrestling in years, it doesn't really seem all that long ago when I used to watch those WWF matches on TV with the Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth as his manager. What I remember most about them is the storyline featuring George "The Animal" Steele, who was supposed have fallen in love with Miss Elizabeth. And it's really hard to believe that Randy's been gone over 10 years now and that Elizabeth died over 18 years ago! She really passed away tragically young. I saddens me just how many of the wrestlers and people associated with wrestling like managers, commentators etc., that I watched in my youth are gone now. I know every industry or field has some people that pass away relatively young, but when it comes to wrestling, it seems more like the norm than the exception.

6 months ago the only wrestler I ever heard of was Hulk Hogan. Now, because of you, I have a whole new appreciation for the sport and its participants. I have serious respect for Michael Braun as I sew and design as well, but I'm not of his caliber! Recently I watched selected episodes of "Autopsy," including for Randy Savage, Chyna, and Chris Benoit. Thank you for introducing me. Wow - I just researched Gorgeous George TODAY, and to learn that Randy's father was trained by him seems more than a mere coincidence.

WOW! I wish I could hit a LOVE button. This was so interesting and fun to watch. Of course like so many others Macho Man was my all time favorite and seeing the photos of him posing with the new clothes was very cool. I work in production so when they wrestled in Minneapolis we saw all the guys walk by going out on the stage. One day Randy walked by with the huge tin look back pack of Slim Jims and a crew member yelled "Step into a Slim Jim" he looked at us and grabbed a hand full of Slim Jims and threw them at us. He yelled OH YEAH and walked through the curtain and out to the ring. Such a cool guy I will never forget.

As a huge wrestling fan since age eleven I grew up watching all of the wrestlers you have a vlog on especially during The Attitude Era. Great job! Would love if you did a vlog/vlogs on Texas' 1st family of wrestling The Von Erichs. Didn't watch Texas wrestling as a kid since it didn't air here but knew all about them from the pro wrestling magazines. Just a quick fact: Adrian Adonis is buried 25 miles from us in Bakersfield, CA in Greenlawn Cemetery. Adrian, his wife and daughters had moved there not very long before his passing.
