I just came here, a year later after I left my first comment, just to say thank you. I'm about to have some extra money, and I'm looking to get a few things I've wanted for years at this point. Very rarely have I ever bought games online through ebay or the like, my entire collection basically is just from thrift store finds and what not. However, in the past like 6 years or so finding ANYTHING at thrift stores slowly became next to impossible. It's just so cool to me that because of this it seems like I'll actually have a shot at investing in some of this stuff at a price that wouldn't be flat out unreasonable. Good luck to everybody else on getting your dream consoles/games, and once again thank you, if I hadn't been binging your videos this method probably wouldn't have even been something on my radar. Edit: I now have a Japanese virtual boy in beautiful condition, along with Mario Clash, teleroboxer, vertical force and galactic pinball. Everything, shipping included was 192 dollars. I couldn't be happier with this first experience.

“Junk” can also just mean untested. Your excitement when your realised it worked fine was cool to see! I remember at the end of the life of the Gameboy micro, there was a department store near me clearing them out for about $50Au (~$35US) and they had a massive pile of them. If only I knew how the price would go through the roof.

Haha, I was so surprised it work! My expectations were very low. That’s good to know. I guess it’s just a generic term they use for some used items. Oh man if only we could turn back the clocks. Here's the thing about these Japanese import websites, you pay shipping twice and it is CRAZY expensive. Macho Nacho went through with this but had the shipping covered. Me, however, using Buyee, scored a 60 can BOSS coffee flat for 32usd (loved this stuff when I was in japan). Free shipping to the warehouse. Here's the con- What they don't tell you is you won't know the shipping until AFTER you've bought the product. Shipping to the States was $81.00usd. So much for that nice deal. I went though with it just because I wanted to taste BOSS coffee again, But pretty much anything you're buying is going to be a waste of money if you can get it from somewhere else in the world. Until the import delivery fees come down, this is still not a good deal.
@MrAgentEcho2 жыл бұрын
That’s where buying multiple things comes in handy. They store all your stuff at their warehouse so you can have a bunch of stuff shipped together instead of individually.

I see people making videos or leaving poor reviews on Sendico because they didn't realize that shipping is not cheap or they bought a couple items, then when they see videos like this they say "Ohh they have special KZbinr Privileges ". Great Video btw! The Quality is amazing! But i have a few questions 1. In order to make a bid, do i need to have at least the starting price in my funds? Or at least 50 yen? 2. How can i tell the weight of the product for the estimation tool? 3. Is there a way to know the international shipping costs before placing the bid? Thanks!
@MachoNachoProductions4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Paramahansa YK! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos! I’ll try and answer as best I can: 1. I think you need to have at least the amount needed in order to pay for your current bid and shipping as well as the 500 yen fee. 2. I just put in a worst case guess. I usually enter 1kg to be on the safe side if I think my package will be small. It’s sometimes good to run several scenarios to get a ballpark range. 3. If I’m not mistaken, I think the estimation tool also includes international shipping. If not, you can check out services like DHLs website or Japan Post to estimate costs. I hope that was a little helpful. I’m still a beginner myself. Hopefully as I order more from Japan, I can give better tips. Cheers buddy and best of luck!

So an update. I used sendico, and I have to say, unless the item is only in japan or half price when compared to your local area then its simply not worth buying. Sendico fees are ridiculous. You have fees for topping up, a free for auction, shipping packaging fee, japan tax fee, shipping fee, additional checking fees, import fees into your country. All these add up and make the final item far too expensive and in fact its still cheaper to buy in your home country.
@MachoNachoProductions4 жыл бұрын
Agree that one needs to do a break even analysis prior to committing to the service. Thankfully if your willing to put in the effort you can determine the max bid price you are willing to pay and from that you can determine sales tax. From that you should be able to determine the import duties based on the value. The inland shipping information should be presented up front in the listing. Some of the fees you mentioned are optional such as checking fees which you can opt out of. It’s definitely not like buying from amazon, so one should expect to do some homework prior to see if they are getting a good deal. I made a spreadsheet to calculate how much I was willing to bid in auctions and would definitely recommend this as a strategy. There are some great deals on the site but as with anything, your mileage may vary. Sorry that you had a mixed experience. Let me know if you’d like to know more about my strategies. Cheers!

Great question MasterCPU! So for my 2 orders from Sendico, I actually didn't purchase any of those options. If I were to order something perhaps more valuable, both the insurance and the protective packaging may be a good option to buy. I hope that helps a little. Cheers buddy!

do you know if the items "add to cart" are placed with "my purchases" so that everything is shipped together?
@MachoNachoProductions2 жыл бұрын
I believe that everything you purchase will remain in their warehouse. You can choose what is shipped to you. They will package everything you want ship pier to you together in a single package.

Hello! First, I would love to say thank you! I just found out about Sendico the other day and just won my first auction! I have a few questions if you don’t mind answering. So as of right now I won a auction on Sendico and it shows a page of “my purchases” and on that page are things like “required actions” and other things like “in stock”. My question is pretty much what to do now? The status is saying “negotiation” and it says 0 for japan stock? Am I supposed to wait until they have them in stock or is there a step that I’m not completing? I finished and won the auction so now I’m just wondering what’s next. I’m super excited! Also thank you in advance!First time watching and I’ve subscribed, very helpful and informative!
@MachoNachoProductions4 жыл бұрын
Great question! Negotiations means that Sendico is in the process of paying the seller. Once they are paid, it will no longer be in negotiation. It may take a couple days. After payment the seller will ship it to Sendico and when they receive it you should get an email and it should be listed as in stock. At that point you can then have it sent to your home address. I hope that helps answer your question. Cheers!

First of all, great video! Very informative and helpful, thanks a lot! I have a question: What happens after those 60 days my items were being stored in the sendico warehouse? Do I HAVE to pay the shipment fee and get my items shipped or can I just say something like „Hey, I don‘t want those items anymore, just hold onto them if you want.“ sorry for my bad english!
@MachoNachoProductions4 жыл бұрын
Hey Zero! That’s a great question. I’m actually not 100% sure. I would imaging they may reach out to you and ask you to begin the shipping progress. I’m sure they will allow you to hold it there longer but they may charge you extra. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful! Best of luck! Cheers!

It seems to me that japanese have far higher quality expectations when it comes to selling second hand products. A console that has some scratches would be decent condition here in the West while in Japan it would be sold has as badly used and in bad condition
@MachoNachoProductions4 жыл бұрын
I totally agree! I think there is certainly a difference in standards when it comes to rating the condition of used products. Cheers Brian!
@stuartcole48454 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I buy used watches sometimes and a watch someone in the US would rate as very good, might be only good or fair condition in Japan. They also seem to keep the original packaging.

its because Japanese people value their property more and don't trash it. when it comes to video games and rare vinyl records I try to buy it from Japanese sellers.

the problem with sendico is that you have to 'top up' the account, if you loose the bid the money is stuck until you withdraw it which costs alot.

Just to clarify, It's 500 yen for each auction you WIN? Not each item strictly? That is to say, if I won an auction that was a joblot of gameboys, I don't have to pay 500 yen for EACH gameboy, right?
