I learned rather late in life that my maternal grandmother was, most likely, a Jew. Since that time, I have undertaken independent studies of Jewish history and traditions. Here, I must say that I am very grateful for Machon Shilo.

Try to figure it out for certain. If you can't, ask a Rav for a Safek conversion (one out of doubt in order to ensure that you are Jewish no matter any doubt about your ancestry).

You must produce content like this in Hebrew as well. Most of the Anglos who come to Israel come because they already have a certain amount of Jewish idealism, but there is a vast sea of Israelis who have little to no knowledge of these things, as is mentioned in the video

was actively campaigning for his release & will forever be grateful for not allowing prisoners swap. however this isn't talk about it. it's time of war and disunity should be avoided. is it really time for advancing his political career? NO. as follower of your channel for a while, your less than favourite opinion on military service was always known. now you have to be blind not to see that you were incorrect in your assumptions (including but not limited to relying on technology alone for warfare). yet seriously expected better than that. maybe ask yourself what qualifications do you or your guests have on any particular topic? such as - can produce. ask financial, intellectual property, production capacity, fullfilled urgent supply, etc. make no mistake, you have fantastic information on the channel, which is highly appreciated. just ask relevant questions before you give platform for polical ambition during war. my last point is reference to wars fought during time of King David. nobody is saying that lack of unity was not triggered by certain things, yet we paid for "opinion" dearly. it's time of war......

Caroline Glick - probably many others - recently pointed out that it was revealed by dissident officials in the military that the Chief* chose to ignore intelligence reports that Hamas was preparing for invasion or some kind of military action, including at midnight and 4:00 a.m. on 10/07. * Chief of the General Staff - Rav Aluf Herzi Halevi Defense wasn't deployed or prepped and the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister weren't informed. Please forgive me. I'm an American so I may not have all the details memorized.

Rabbi - with all due respect, there's a bit more of an ethereal element to "Zionism" - religious or secular... Perhaps we tend to forget these tender moments in harsh times, but they do exist. Even if our enemies, G-D forbid, succeed in striking us down, we shall come back more powerful than they would have ever imagined.

spokesperson is for outside world and he is doing brilliant job of it. if we learn, he isn't a problem for anyone of us. education is the key. but since you are on the topic, why not ask who Pollard is going to bring? especially since it's obvious political campaign. forget inappropriate timing - want to play politics ask # policy # finding # production capacity # human resources # international policies let's be honest. imo the whole thing is poorly timed while we are at war, but hey - this isn't a celebrity channel.

Genesis 17:8 states, "And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be to them (for) a God." Rashi states in relevant part, "There I will be a God to you. But he who lives outside of the land (of Israel) is like one who has no God." Secularism is detrimental to Torah observant Jew, because it puts a Torah observant Jew in an inexcapable dilemma between following the the Torah or violating the prohibitions of the Torah.

I keep watching as both the host and the guest are intelligent but I respectfully disagree with the Rabbis' premise that Zionism is dead. The political movement for Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel has always known its ups and downs. If I were to judge any society as dead when it lost a battle the Rome could have been counted out as a failure after Canne, the US after pearl harbor or 9.11. I identify with the underlying sentiment of the question. That sentiment that the country is run by Christian values rather than Jewish values but that is a matter of evolving culture. As the war between the west and east comes to ahead Israel will have to strike a better balance between east and west. Meaning as western culture influence wanes and eastern culture gains in influence perhaps Israeli society will find it more appropriate to think and govern in terms of Eastern values.
