Ryan is *_still losing his addiction "fight"._* For how long does everyone else on the planet, especially those who have needed and wanted him the most, _"need to understand"?_ Honestly, *_if ever_* HE decides to "understand", get and stay clean and sober, _and_ change his narcissistic personality, *_then maybe_* people can try to start "understanding" again. Until that time, all energies, attention, and understanding need to go 100% to the families growing and thriving despite him. My times of feeling _hopeful_ for Ryan's redemption have looonnnggg passed. He has no use for anyone on this planet unless they have something to help him get high on. If Ryan is never going to care enough, everyone else will take up the slack easily to make life better for them all... especially Bentley, who has been robbed since before he was even born. Thank goodness that he has so many wonderful role models in his life so he does not have to learn _from_ Ryan. Instead, he can learn _because_ of Ryan exactly the kind of person to *_not_* be. And he never has to feel "responsible" for Ryan, either. He has been raised to know that you can't help those who are not willing to help themselves first, and nothing that Ryan does is a reflection or because of him. Sound judgmental? It's not. Been there with all degrees of severity, and all degrees of failure and success with multiple people I love and care about. I have lived around people just like Ryan throughout my entire fairly long lifetime. It is absolutely fruitless to just keep "understanding"... your understanding too easily can be nothing better than _enabling._ The worst thing you can be for an addict-- an enabler. No excuses. Look. Some people just don't really want their demons gone (or they see no demons at all!), and Ryan appears to be one of those people. These people can't see the harm they do to everyone else... they only see themselves and what they "suffer", "don't suffer", or whatever they come up with as their excuses. You honestly *_can't_* help them-- and all of the love and care given them will never, ever be enough-- but you *_can_* keep the damage to a minimum, and you *_can,_* without *any guilt,* move life forward with positivity and hope with everyone else. I'm happy that that's exactly what Maci has done-- for herself, for the entire family, and for Bentley. I am wishing the best to you. I'm wishing the best to everyone who has demons to slay and tame-- and I'm especially wishing the best for those who fight every day to keep those demons shut up tight and are able to live happy and full lives with those they love-- because they do that every day! They all *_could_* do that. I am wishing for *everyone_* to be well and be safe. ~Peace!

Maci and Taylor, Chelsea and Cole are by far my favorite mom's dad's and couple's. They are such kind and caring people to each other and everyone around them. They are the best parents to their kids and teach amazing morals and values to their kids and give it up to Taylor and Cole for stepping up like true men and treating Bentley and Aubrey like their bio child. I see these couples actually lasting a lifetime and these kids growing up to be amazing productive adults.

An apt in DC rents at minimum 3k a month for one bedroom. A one bedroom condo is easily at minimum 200k. A home in neighboring cities in MD is 500k at minimum. I’m moving to TN! LOL
