I Bought this Macintosh SE FDHD about a month ago, this is a test after I got it put all back together after fixing several issues. The floppy drive was damaged in shipping, as was the CRT. The power supply was also bad.
The floppy drive was replaced with a spare. The CRT yoke had been dislodged so the image on the screen was rotated about 15 degrees clockwise, this was fixed by unscrewing the yoke clamp and rotating the entire yoke assembly until the screen alignment was fixed and the clamp tightened again. The power supply had leaking capacitors and getting suitable replacements was going to be expensive. I opted to transplant a modern TFX style PSU board into the existing SE power supply case instead, which works fine.
Unfortunately as shown in the video, there are still stability issues. The garbage on the screen on power up I believe is caused by using capacitors with a bit too much capacitance when I recapped the board. The originals were 33 uF and the replacements are 47uF, as I did not have any 33 uF capacitors on hand.
Later in the video when I run the gold digger game, you can see the machine become unstable. The system starts locking up when sound events happen in the game and it finally locks up completely at the end of the video. Since the SE runs fine without the rear shell on, I believe this to be a heat related issue and not a power delivery issue, but more diagnostics will be required.
