Mack R686ST/ Truck 17 Restoration Part 6/ Camelback Suspension Trunnion Reassembly

Finally have all of the parts gathered up to put this trunnion back together. We get the insulator pads, spacers, trunnion bushings and U bolts installed on the Mack's camel back suspension. Things are starting to take shape and I couldn't be happier, even though I know this isn't even a drop in the bucket of what yet needs to be done. I apologize for the erratic focus of the camera, I recently upgraded, and I am still learning how to properly use it.

Well I just binge watched all 6 episodes and subscribed. My dad was diesel mechanic since 1978. I was born in 79. He graduated from the Mack school in Atlanta, Ga. Thus I was raised around this. I have enjoyed your work. Thanks for including us!

Thank you, it's a welcomed change of pace. The spring shop that I have been getting most of my parts from has the full set up to get the alignment spot on as well as torquing those U- bolts. It will be a cake walk for them especially with it just being a rolling frame. I'm still beside myself that we hit 500!

Nice to have a shop to work in albeit a little cold and tools to use. It's gonna warm up later. I don't mind paying for a service like the axle alignment and torque of the bolts. It will be done correctly and you won't have to worry about it. Yea when stuff starts going back together it gets you wanting to do even more but rebuilding something like you are doing you have to take it one step be it big or little at a time. What did the axle alinement cost from teh spring shop?

I won't be having it aligned until I have a rolling frame put together, then they can align all 3 axles. Thanks for watching
