X32 Effect Racks Explained Part 1

This is part 1 of many videos that will go over the effect rack that come with the X32 mixers. I will recap this video in Part 2 as there are some things I need to correct as well as add to.
In 2021 many people are getting into the Audio Book Narration Profession. The requirements concerning the ACX, as well as other Audio Book distributors are both extensive as well as easy to accomplish if you can grasp the basic concepts of Audio Requirements.

I am also the owner of D & L Studio LLC. Please keep in mind that meeting the requirements concerning the ACX is more complex then Podcasting will ever be! With Podcasting, there are only recommendations. With the ACX, they are requirements. If you do not meet them, you will be rejected! I am an active Narrator with the ACX.
Audio is fun! Mixing and mastering is really quite simple when it comes to the spoken word. STAY OFF EBAY looking for cheap mics. In the last 12 months they have been flooded with counterfeit brand name mics. It has gotten so bad that the real manufactures of these products are now listing this statement on their official sites as well!

Hi, can I first EQ then compress a channel strip or is it embedded on x32 rack to first compress a signal then EQ???

In X32 Edit, select the channel, then at the top, make sure you are in channel view. Look in the first column on the left for "Dyn" and by selecting or deselecting that option, will determine if the compressor comes before or after the EQ.

Dana - I wouldn't call this "effects" - it's channel processing. It's an OK overview but I'm not sure someone without the basic knowledge will get your Reaper comparison. You're kinda stuck here of course, since its chicken and egg. But explaining "how to EQ" and "how to use a compressor" is probably beyond scope here. Maybe a series on "How to mix"? :-)

Not much option only few eq app how many build but limited best mix app get best out off it

X32 Edit for the computer and X32 Mix for the iPad is what I use.
