I lived at 14 Markt Strasse in 1983-84 Wow,Mackenbach has definitely grown So far the only thing I remember was that stone building when you first come in from the airbase on the left-hand side I remember there was a gas station an old lady with a cane used to pump your gas i used to buy my wine there she used to get a kick out of me jogging by and stopping by later on to buy my wine,Average about to 2 mark 80 pfennig to the dollar,Living on economy at Markenbach One of the best experiences in my life,Thank you to the German people for showing hospitality courtesy and friendship,Proud and lucky to been an airman,Rammstein airbase west Germany

In the early 90s, we were very pleased to live on Jahnn Strasse, just below the forest, where wild pigs and deer were kept, kind of 'free-ranging' there, behind a fence. I still remember the marvelous brotchen baked daily at the backerei there. That same older lady sold us gas often, too. I love and miss Germany, and the German people.

Richard Bonner I remember running on the soccer field and on the farmers Road and running across the pond bridge I’m from NYC country living was a thrill for me,the fresh fertilize fields was good country living... thank you to the people of Germany make me feel welcomed and appreciated, next 20 years I spent as a New York City correctional officer Rikers island... I have watch this video over time several times, i’ve been looking for the church on main St(Haupstrasse) The town circle was nearby, There’s a little pond in the woods with a little wood bridge peaceful and romantic place

You would have seen the church if he had turned left at 1:33. Would have been like 100 metres on the right side then.
