The original writers also left the show because Disney did not alow them to continue the story line bc it was "too dark". And so the transform something unique into a mundane light comedy without any meaning. It's very sad.

@@minaharker6641 Yes what happens in the 3rd season is lighter in tone and more kid-friendly, but it still has a few creepy elements here and there. The episode where Jack and Annie are transported back to the 70s by watches and the Voodoo episode were pretty creepy at times. Let's not forget when they all get trapped in that painting and Annie has to get them out. However there were stupid and pointless episodes like Earth 101

@@musiclover_kb4913 I like Earth 101. I also like Grave Mistake and that episode that Annie becomes older and her neighbor becomes young. And that episode that Jack stays at home alone at night. There are some creepy episodes in Season 3 indeed

They lacked consistency, but they weren't all bad! "Voodoo" is still one of the best episodes in the series in my opinion. And some of the later episodes like the one about the video game, bee town and painting were really good, because although corny, they had a thriller and suspense element that I really liked. The one about the magician, Tower of Babel stone and the one where they swap ages were also really good, and the last one especially really delves deep into the legend. The one about the janitor also wasn't bad. The writers got lazy with some of them though, a lot of them were too over the top and unrealistic. Earth 101 I almost didn't rewatch, but actually ended up enjoying it. It was corny, but funny and the concept was interesting. Not all of season 3 was bad, and season s 1 and 2 had some stupid ones too, like the dragon, dog, gremlin, the virtual reality one and the Christmas one. That being said, Annie was annoying at first, and I almost didn't rewatch season 3, but she ended up growing on me. And people aren't gonna like this, but I kind of ended up liking Annie better. She's more relatable to the average girl and added a different vibe to the show. That being said, I'm still angry that they didn't move forward with the original season 3 script. It was supposed to be WILD! I know Cara is retired from acting, but I still wish they'd make the original season 3, even if it's with a different cast. Maybe there's a parallel universe somewhere, where the original season 3 exists😂
