I saw this at Baylor performed by the Baylor Wind Symphony and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. A couple of days later, I got to play Sacred Spaces (and I'm a horn player!) Such an experience. Neither of which I'll ever forget!

imagine playing this piece for your local ensemble. Hits even harder when you do.

This is so dazzling and beautiful. I see color when I hear pitches. it's weird, but since this piece is in a G centered tonality, I see blue. Just saying. Very nice work!!

I saw this piece performed by an awesome high school band. Sadly, I can’t remember the school name. But they did this so beautifully… it brought me to tears just hearing this in an auditorium live! You could feel the vibrations in your feet and it was absolutely breathtaking!

Yknow my highschool wind ensemble played this around the time you posted this comment. Any chance you might’ve heard my school. One word, Washington?

His colors are amazing. Does anybody write for band quite like this? His handling of consonance and dissonance is so exciting.

It sounds like something from a cinematic film showing a character fighting as he is slowing weakening until he can barely fight and as it ends he won but he slowly succumbs to his wounds
