Sigh...OK, after testing again, FX to main off, letting the board warm up for around 20 minutes, I'm getting the feedback issue with phantom power again...

The biggest issue I ran into with the phantom power is most likely my own error! If you watch the video, you can see I have the FX to main cranked, which when you enable phantom power creates the awful feedback noise.

Quick review on the Mackie Mix 12 FX.

Forgot to mention that there is no power button on the mixer, and it gets warm over time as well. Not a big factor if you don't mind plugging it in and out of the wall, but if you want a setup where the board is always available, it may not be a great fit for that specific use case
