Have you used a Mackie Thump product before? Which one?

So I do solo saxophone with backing tracks gigs all the time it in cocktail hours and House parties and retirement places. I'm well on the wrong side of 50 on my lower back is barking after even hoisting my 30 lb QSC cp12s on poles. This seems like just the thing, even if I might not need the battery power, though that would be a huge plus. The volume would be enough for most chill smooth jazz settings right?

When I turn off my thump go and unplug it I’m finding that the green light at the front of speaker stays on. It’s not supposed to do that correct?

I'm looking to use these for outdoor/indoor wedding ceremonies, as my main setup will already be set the reception. I'm looking for portability (Bluetooth input from my phone, and paired linking through Bluetooth - no cables)! Something I can tear down within mins and go to the cocktail hour. I think I've found the setup here!

brother, I got caught up in hard situation and there is a perfect hookah lounge for me to play at. The only thing is the owner won't let djs use house speakers due to possible blow out. I am considering getting 3 thumps to fill the room. Would 2 thumps be sufficient for a 500 Sq ft room? If I need to get 3, would all three be able to link via 1 using xlr and other 2 with link?

I have the thump 12 BST. Just bought a Halo portable battery pack for $150 plugged in the speaker and music it played loud for over 3 hrs. Much cheaper then adding another speaker. Having said that it seems to work with class D amps they draw less. I tried it on my older FBT max 4a it would turn on.

Do this unit come fully charged, or do you plug it into the wall, and it starts charging the internal battery?

Can’t speak for all - but ours had about a 50% charge when we got it. And yes plug in like normal to charge :-)

We think 2 may be better , but 1 should be “Ok” for that many people. Music will be more than fine it’s the PA portion that we would be concerned with depending on if you’re outside, elements etc. always better to have more sound than not enough

Yes it is more basic and if you want reverb you’ll want to go w a more expensive model like the Eon One Compact
