All day on the beast? Strewth, my bum is numbed after 80 miles and then I'm glad to get off and fill it before the red light. And I've had it from birth in 2002 so I know you never get used to it's incredible discomfort. I suppose tearing up and down a Hollywood boulevard with the Vboost kicking in for a few minutes is fine. I love it though and nothing I've tried can match it for sheer fun. This is from a 62 year old Brit who's finding it even heavier to push around than when I was 40! Good vid mate.

I cant judge how much pressure you were putting on the hwy pegs, but there was some flex there. Take a look and see if you think you need to double up on the 3mm mounting plates. Stay safe Mackie.
@MackieBass
@MackieBass 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude. The flex is because teh foot pegs are rubber mounted, so the only flex you see is from the actual original foot pegs - I guess it's good, as it stops the vibrations :)

I’ve never seen a frame brace like that on another Vmax. I’ve been entertaining a mod like this for my Max except maybe adding an additional shift linkage. I have the factory crash bars there presently.

Looks good. I use the engine crash bars as my foot rests for motorway / long distance. The mid controls aren't too uncomfortable for journeys of around 4-5 hours, but I wouldn't like to think I was doing it all day. Going to be bloody expensive in terms of fuel, too - they're pretty thirsty bikes as I'm sure you know/are soon to discover :) Ride safe.

Vmax is the best bike to be on if you're going on smiles for miles. Never fails to bring a smile to my face, despite the weather - and I'm one of the nutters that takes it out in the snow!

I could not ride without highway pegs. Poor circulation in my legs means I have to get my legs out straight at every opportunity. My highway pegs are attached to my crash bars.

The ability to change leg position if only for 5 minutes makes a big difference. Same with the throttle hand. A throttle lock is a poor replacement for electronic cruise control but its better than nothing.
