The bare coils with silver-mica caps are a low-pass filter, meant to reduce TV interference.. Overdrive it and the harmonic energy will overheat the parts on that board. Seen a few with scorch marks and black soot.

Hello, Sir. I Own A MaCo 300 Amature Amp, Same As Yours, The TX Relay Is Trying To Key Up, No Modulation Light On, Is The Relay On Its Way Out, & What Type Of Relay Could I Order & Solder It In. Please Any Idea . Thank You Very Much,

That 9 times out of 10 is the keying circuit going bad, not the relay. I replace the keying circuit with the Nomad keying circuit.

I have an NOS Maco.. a RARE 300 Super... 5x2057s modulator style... low dead key high swing... plastic still on face tags still hanging on knobs, original box and paperwork with instructions etc.... you interested in it ? I also have an NOS KW deck with never had tubes init... rare brown face. No transformer.

It would take 600 for me to let the Maco go. I only have as/is not working IV's and IVA's right now. They sell quicker than I can get to them.

I think you should ask more then $600.00 if you sell it. Think about it, were are you going to find MACO branded tubes in like new condition. Its plain to see that these tubes are original to the amp. This amp has ultra low hours on it. So with the tubes and amp condition it should go to a collector, and we all know collector's pay stupid money for rare conditioned examples. 73 Joe

True and I partially agree, but on the other hand, I got this for a very low price, and believe it or not, I am not trying to get max dollar out of my stuff. I try to balance factors and come up with a reasonable and fair price for me and the potential buyer.
