Thanks, Jessie! It really works! I have successfully installed macOS Big Sur on my MacBook Air using an older version of Opencore. I also tried TCC, but I didn’t have the proper terminal commands at that time, so I switched back to Catalina. Now, I’ve reinstalled Big Sur with my system, and these commands work like a charm! I’ve granted all the necessary permissions to all the day-to-day apps. Thanks, mate!!

Thank you SO MUCH Jessie's Flying! I have had so much trouble getting my audio interface to work with Logic Pro 10 (currently 10.7.9) and this video saved me. Just so you know, my operating system is Monterey but this worked perfectly once I got the code right. Anyone who needs help with Logic Pro, please know that although it's now officially called "Logic Pro" The commands will only work with the name "Logic Pro X" in order to get the terminal code for Logic Pro. Hope that makes sense.

So MacBook Air 2017 should be officially supported by Monterey - so try NVRAM reset and a clean install of monterey or it is a hardware error...

Thank you for the super-helpful video! I have a problem with another graphics/video app not running correctly: Duet Display. The app will open and run up until the point where I tell it to extend the display of another computer on on my network. At that point, instead of opening a new desktop space with the extended display, nothing happens (though the app on my mac and the other computer both register the connection, and the other computer behaves as if another display is connected). I have a 2011 iMac now running Ventura 13.4. Is this a similar permission issue? The app runs fine when I boot to a drive with High Sierra. Thanks again!

Thank you for the video. I found a video that had a reset for my camera and microphone that allowed all the apps to work after opening them. I used: Reset all permissions for camera/microphone: make sure to quit all open applications - open terminal and type - tccutil reset Camera Enter or return then type - tccutil reset Microphone Enter or return I restarted my Mac and both the microphone and camera appeared to select all apps I use

Thanks a lot for your answer! But I run Catalina on a hackintosh and have issue with my apollo x8 sound card. In fact it work but I have to start it when the computer boot, if I turn off/on the sound card when the computer running, the computer ton't recognize the sound card. On my MacBook Pro mid-2012 13” with Ventura 13.4 and OCLP 0.6.6 there is no problem. Zoom got its permission to use the Camera from the past and the Camera access page in System Preferences is just opening without any special effort. Could it be that OCLP 0.6.6 has fixed this?

That solution is only for unsupported models, your m1 model should work out of the box, so that is a different issue…

Hi Jessie, please I need your help, I have a 2009 iMac 27 inch, model iMac11,1, but I upgraded the gpu wich I extracted from an iMac 11,3, when upgrading from high sierra to Big Sur with Open Core Legacy Patcher, now macOS doesn’t recognize the upgraded gpu (OCLP thinks my 11,1 has a specific gpu and there is no other drivers for another gpum) and I don't have graphic acceleration, some video glitches, I've done a thousand things but none have worked, can you help me?

So if it is the GPU from iMac11,3 try selecting iMac11,3 as Mac model in OCLP and do an install and a root patch (but have a bootable USB drive on hand if it ends in a boot loop)…

How do I re-root patch my system? When I opened the OCLP 0.6.8, I could only see Build and Install Opencore and Post-Install Root Patch but I clicked on Post-Install Root Patch and restarted my laptop, yet I’m still having problems seeing the permission when I click on apps. I was able to fix zoom based on your commands on this video

At the moment I am trying it out on Monterey and everything worked perfectly except for permissions. I am thinking to upgrade all the way to Ventura though. @@JessiesFlying Update: did the upgrade to Ventura. Got the permissions for camera and mic working for work meetings with this fix. Ventura feels a notch slower than Monterey did. I haven't tried the M1 or M2 chip models, I hear they're good. But still, MacBook Pro mid 2012 runs like a beast with these upgrades! I really recommend it. It's a great way to get a really powerful computer on a budget!

Hi Jessie. Thanks for this. I have a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, running OCLP 0.6.6 and Monterey 12.6.6. I worked through your solution and have been able to get Zoom to work with my camera and microphone. When I however tried to do the same with Microsoft Teams, when I get to the osascript - e , to find the app id, when I enter "Microsoft Teams" as per how it is named in the downloaded app, I keep getting zsh: command not found: $. Is there any other way of returning the id of the Microsoft Teams app? Many thanks

might be a problem of the white space - try "Microsoft\ Teams" (with a backspace before the white space)

hey thanks for the video, I got the permission's working with WhatsApp but when I do video call the screen (on my end) doesn't show my/other's video yet they do see me (still sometime doesn't work) please help if you have any fix for this, and I would appreciate if you can help me with downgrading back to the officially supported MAC OS, so far I have Big Sur bootable ready but not sure if I just go ahead or need to do something before I go ahead and clean install Big Sur (will that be ok with no issue as it was before?)

I just recommend a NVRAM reset before installing an older macOS, other than that there should be nothing else to do

Hello Jessie, thank you for this video. I encountered the same issue but with the macOS Monterey. I used OCLP on my old iMac (2011) and choose to installed Monterey. Everything's worked fine except the Skype app, because of the no access to the camera and the mike in the security settings. So I tried to solve this issue using your advice, but I failed to enter the skype ID on the terminal. Do you know where I can find this information ? Thanks again. Philippe

@@JessiesFlying First I want to thank you for the answer. I have a 2012 27`` Imac with Ventura 13.4 and Nvidia card. Vmare always worked fine until the penultimate IOS update where it stopped opening virtual machines. I've tried everything to resolve it, including reinstalling the IOS.

@@HermanoBaia yes, 2012 iMac has pre-Haswell CPU and Ventura needs AVX2 - so OCLP has a workaround but VMWare has not....

@@danielasalemoficial the problem shouldn’t occur with Monterey if you try OpenCore Legacy patcher 0.6.4 or older - maybe try this older version. It was caused due to a change in OCLP 0.6.5 which was necessary for Ventura 13.3

@@JessiesFlying I did everything you did in the video and mic and camera are sharing the permission with facetime and zoom in sec.& priv. in system pref. but no video on both apps. Mic works fine from the beginning also in other apps, and on zoom's video pref. it sees the HD camera model but it doesn't go on, no green light at the camera's side for instance. Facetime, Photo booth etc. either. I did use capital letters, as you did in the video, I post installed roots patched twice and the reeboth the mac but nothing. On the older macOS everything worked, I did install big sur before monterey and the issue was already there, so I changed to monterey cause I tought it could fix it, at least with these commands here. Both installation processes are fresh starts, no upgrade and I still have the old one on the other partition. I really hope you or someone could help me cause I'm almost there and reading of all these people getting it with no issues makes me sad :( But thank you soooo much for your help :)

I followed the instructions on my Mac Pro 5,1 and System Preferences now shows rights for my desired app (Facetime). But my setup with Camera Continuity (iPhone Xs 16.5) is still broken. Is this a Camera Continuity issue? Do I need to grant permission for this feature too? I hope Apple did not break this awesome function and I am just missing something… If you know a hot fix for my issue I‘ll be happy as heck 😅 Anyway, thank you very much for your helpful videos!
