I grew up an apple hater in the '90s. I bought my first mac around 2011/2012 with the MacBook Air. I loved it and loved macs ever since. I didn't fully switch right away as I was more of a PC gamer but over the years thanks to Vista, many windows failures and Apple silicone has turned me completely to a Apple user across the board and console gamer. Even though I was already primarily a mac user before M1 released, I felt like Apple was missing something to make the products even better. Come Nov 2020 and I got the answer. Intel was holding them back. M1 changed everything. I do have a MSI laptop from 2020 plus several old desktops but my M1 MBP with 16GB of that great unified memory and 2TB SSD is far superior in every way compared to the MSI with 32GB memory and I think 2 TB SSD. VS Code runs smooth in the MBP while freezes on the MSI. I love messing around with Xcode. Nothing in tech is perfect but Apple's hardware and software along with their customer service which thanks to their great quality rarely have to utilize, can't match anything on the PC side of things.

In other words, don't buy directly from Microsoft, as they charge significantly higher prices. I paid just under 30 dollars (~25 € in Europe) for my legal Office 2021 license linked to my Microsoft account. For the current version, however, you would pay around 60-80 dollars. Jessie, I need KDK help. I'm trying to do a clean install (not update) of Sequoia 15.2 on a MacPro 5,1. I did the USB install method, but the root patches don't automatically come with it. At least not the all-important Legacy USB 1.1. OCLP doesn't look for KDK files when I click Post Install Root Patches. It also doesn't ask for a password to install as Root like in your video. It just proceeds with the patch, including all the Metallib stuff. OCLP says that it is patching the Legacy USB 1.1, but it doesn't actually happen. I've gone over all the text that scrolls by during the root patching, and there is no mention of KDK. Nothing like your screen that shows it's checking for KDK files, or skipping because it found a local copy. And the folder /Library/Developer is empty. So I try downloading and installing the KDK package manually and run the Root Patch again, but the result is the same. It's like OCLP just ignores the installed KDK. I've been at this for a week. I've rebooted a billion times, including SMC and NVRAM resets. Please help.
