why on earth are they still supporting the 2018 MacBook pros but not the air

Hello i need help, i reseted my macbook air, and when i reseted it, it has a 🚫 sign, i once restarted it, and it goes to internet recovery, and it goes back to mac os utilities but when i install a new version, theres no option, and when i go to startup disk, theres no option too, and when i restart it, it just keeps repeating over and over, i can go to startup profiles or anything, it just goes back to mac os utilities, please help me, im just a kid😢:(, you deserve a like and a subscribe if you help me, please help!.

You must wipe the disk and then install the OS using internet recovery.
