@@lisanowakow3688 it’s ok but falls behind when compared to some new varieties derived from it like Macoun. If you are looking for Mac like flavors, Macoun, Spartan, Liberty, Empire, Even Northern Spy, have more interesting flavor than Macintosh. As an Apple, there’s nothing wrong with it, only when I compare to other varieties, I prefer the improved cultivars. It’s nice to have some heirlooms also but remember that apple breeding does not stand still, the bar keep getting higher. There are new flavors and more interesting apples being created every year.
