Hi Macrame Makers ...
This time we will learn to make Macrame Round Tablecloth again.
The Macrame tablecloth that we will make this time is almost similar to the one I shared before.
Materials that need to be prepared:
1. 3 mm cotton rope
for the size:
- The first rope is cut 450 cm long
- Next 5 pieces of rope cut 190 cm long
- For the following ropes, add 1 strand of rope every time you find a gap when you make a Double Half Hitch Knot
to close the gap.
The size is reduced by 10 cm from the size of the rope in the loop layer above it.
For example: If you add string to the second layer, then cut it 180 cm long.
If you add the string in the third layer, then cut it 170 cm long.
And so on.
- 60 cm cotton rope, the amount as needed
2. Scissors
3. Comb
To make this Macrame Tablecloth / Table Mat, I suggest you make it in a flat place, so that the result is not curved.
The tutorial that I share is not perfect. This tutorial is only a one-way reference. Maybe you can do better.

Hi! love your tutorials. Is there a way to add a circle around the whole mat just before we start the diagonal double half hitch knot to show separation between the square knots and the diagonal hitch knot pattern?

Start making a square knot at a distance of 2/3 cm from the Double half hitch knot. Or you can try adding another pattern to make the distances look clearer. However, this method can make the rope need longer than what is shown in the video

disemprot pakai hairspray, atau diolesi dengan lem putih (lem fox) yg dicampur sedikit air. Setelah disemprot/dioles, diamkan dulu di lantai sekitar 30 menit sampai 1 jam sampai mengering sempurna, baru kemudian boleh diaangkat/dipajang.

Pakai 4 mm juga bisa. Hanya saja hasilnya akan lebih tebal. 1 kg cukup. Bahkan mungkin lebih utk ukuran diameter 35 cm.

Si encuentra que el hilo es demasiado corto o la cantidad de hilo es demasiado, puede ocultarlo metiéndolo entre los nudos en la parte posterior y luego recortar el resto para que quede limpio.

I found when doing this type of project (for example coasters) I make sure I fill in enough of the gaps with the extra cord. If you don’t then it will start forming a cone. This happened to me half way through my first project like this so I had to tear it apart and add cords to even the small gaps. I also made my knots just a little bit looser (I have a tendency to tie really tight knots). That seemed to work for me.

Oh, itu karena tidak menambahkan tali. Pada saat membuat double half hitch, jika jarak antara tali sebelumnya dan selanjutnya terdapat celah, sematkan tali baru. Walau celahnya tidak terlalu lebar, baiknya langsung tambahkan tali baru agar tidak melengkung.
