MACRAME Skull Wall Hanging - Halloween Series (7 of 7)
Series Finale!
This macrame skull wall hanging is made up of entirely larks head knots!
It’s a very time consuming project but look at it! How cool is that?!
I hope you enjoyed this series, I sure had a lot of fun.

🚫 ERROR -my bad 🚫 I had said that this project uses only larks head and vertical larks head knots...correction, its NOT vertical larks head knots it’s vertical double half hitches. Here’s my tutorial on vertical double half hitches: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epnaYXt9pr2eaac

Wow! My son would love this! He puts skulls in all his artwork. I learned how to make macrame letters using double half hitch knots and this is just the same, just a different pattern. I know what I'm making him next. Great job!

Inspiring, have been on a hunt for some projects exactly like this, for both Halloween and just decoration for my studio ha. I can't believe I never thought about making these, as a kid we use to craft friendship bracelets in the exact same manor except on a much smaller scale. 👏 🤘💀 Can't wait to try this !

Very good skull. Thank you for your effort but cm of ropes? These are very important details.. How many white and black ropes you used?
@SimplyInspiredbySheena

💙 Thank you! I usually have all the measurements and supplies listed near the beginning of my videos on the “screenshot” clip 0:12 ...with this particular design it’s hard to say exactly how much rope you will need due to the density of the knots, individual tension, and your personal preference of length. However I recommend cutting your filler cords at 90 inches

💙 Hello, thanks so much for watching. You can slow down the video by tapping the three dots on the top right corner....however check out this link for a smaller skull tutorial. It’s a much better tutorial for vertical double half hitches, I explain the technique in detail. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXnTf6OdnLOVrZo

@SimplyInspiredbySheena
@SimplyInspiredbySheena 2 жыл бұрын
💙 I don’t give out exact measurements for the working VDHH cords because it’s too variable to calculate. Each artist tension is different and size varies greatly between rope companies. Plus it doesn’t really matter as long as you have a roll of each colour needed. What I CAN tell you is that I like to work with 60 inch lengths at a time (roughly my arm span). When you run out, all you have to do is just tie another piece on…hope that helps. Check out one of my newer pixel patterns as I give MUCH better instructions than I do with this video 🤗💙

💙 Yes this was my first tutorial for pixel macrame patterns so the instruction is very poor. BUT my newer videos in this style are quite easy to follow along. I recommend you go check those out and you will 100% be able to do this wall hanging as you only need the grid pattern 🤗

@@SimplyInspiredbySheena do you have the grid image available to share by chance? I use pixel art for my beadwork but don't have a skull I like more then that one and I'd like to use it without manually copying that image on my graph paper the hard way if possible

💙 When doing wall hangings like these all you need to worry about is the pixel pattern (found at the beginning of this video). Each square in the pattern is 1 vertical double half hitch knot. The more colours and the larger the pixel the more difficult the pattern gets. My suggestion is to try a couple mini ones first…I also have a mini skull pattern here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXnTf6OdnLOVrZo

Where are the cord measurements?
@SimplyInspiredbySheena
@SimplyInspiredbySheena 4 жыл бұрын
💙 hello! You can find the supply list on the “screenshot” clip...however when doing a vertical double half hitch pattern it’s nearly impossible to get the measurements accurate because you will need to keep adding more in as you go. I recommend purchasing a 2 lbs tube of rope in both black and white (or colours of your choice). Thanks for watching 💙
