Thank you so much. This is by far and away the clearest and easiest to follow tutorial I have found. Your movements are *so* clear and easy to follow. I have tried various online macrame instructions and had no success until I found this. I have made a lovely wall hanging (I am super proud!) thanks to your excellent teaching. Thank you, thank you! Can’t wait to start my next project.

Thank you so much for that tutorial! I was looking for a while for one to do my first macrame work and this one is great! Everything is clear for a total beginner. I used 3 mm rope but used all the same measurements. Was wondering the size of the finished piece and for me it's 37x67 cm. What I most like about that tutorial it's almost zero rope waste, I didn't cut a lot and rope consumption is minimal compared to other similar sized pieces (approx 68 meters). The only one thing I would improve if I will do it one more time - is to make some ropes (4 ropes) longer from the first layer

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback Liia 💕 Minimal rope wastage is something I always aim for. Rope is expensive enough as it is! Xx

@SummerMacrame4 жыл бұрын
Hiya, the thickness of the dowel is 15mm. What thickness do you have? I reckon you can use a thinner one, the final piece is not super heavy so it’ll hold under a thinner one as well I think! X
@Mikalapaige0004 жыл бұрын
Mine are 9.5mm. I just realized though that they are only 12 inches long. I thought I had 24 inch so I'm probably going to have to get something else anyway.

Beautiful!! :-) how much more cord do I need if I want to use 5mm? I’m still learning and breaking my head about it :D appreciate your answer
@SummerMacrame4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you so much! I know figuring out rope lengths is so tricky. If you are using 5mm cord I would increase it by about 25%. If you pop me a DM on instagram I can send you a really handy chart to calculate when you are using a different thickness. instagram.com/summermacrame X

Hi Shelly, I’m using single strand rope and the thickness is 4mm. Have a look at Mary Maker Studio, she’s in Australia and I’m pretty sure she sells something very similar to what I use although it might be called different!
