Every single time I use the measurements for cord length I come up way short. This said 40” so I went 45” and I still came up almost 10 inches short on the two middle cords and had to scrap yet another project. From now on I’m doubling whatever you recommend!i wish I could post the pic of just how far I was able to get before running out of cord. Extremely frustrated right now.

Maybe it’s the size cord you’re using? I’m using 3mm and I have to use about 28 inches.

Just had the same problem. When folding the cord to attach to the key chain should the cord be longer on one strand, not in half because some cords are too short to finish

I've followed through you video and after putting the bead on I noticed that the middle cords are way shorter. I've undone it 5 times and redone thinking I went wrong, but the same thing happens. I think I'm going to double the length and see what happens.

The measurements aren't correct in this tutorial. I measured longer than 40 inches and I ran out of cord. I wasted the time creating this and the end isn't getting finished because of the incorrect measurements :( And it would be very helpful if the artist would talk and explain instead of playing the music over and over. The keychain looks cute though. I might make my own ending or take the whole thing apart. :)

@@AnastasiaY19 Agreed - much more rope is needed than the artist recommends. I've done this twice and run our of rope both times, even though I cut it much longer than he/she says.

@@macrameschool I also ran out of chord using 3 mm. I think the suggested length might only work for 2-2.5 mm chord.

this looks like crochet cord// its thinner than 3mm. If you give the wrong size cord it will definitely come up too short which seems like whats happening..
