another good one Chris **Thumbsup** I'm all set up for a macro day on Thursday. Canon 90D, sigma 150mm macro lens, (580 ex II flash, Fstoppers Flash disk diffuser if needed)

You know what I need to get a diffuser for my flashgun so I can compare that with the LED lights. I’m sick of shooting high (ish) ISO macro photos now.

@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto exactly and you can of course use it off camera, diffusers are not expensive and can make a difference to off camera flash! good luck.

I'm just getting into macro photography, and using my Canon Rebel T3, rather than my 7D Mark II, simply because it's lighter in weight, and I don't need all of the special goodies of the 7D for macro. Started off with a Canon 50mm lens + Kenko tubes, loved the results, but wanted more shooting distance between camera and subject. I was considering the Laowa 100 mm 2:1, but apparently there's an issue with the grease in the lens melting from heat - and I live in south Florida. So, I am now VERY happy using a Tokina 100mm ATX-i 2.8 1:1 macro lens, which becomes a 160mm lens since it is attached to a APS-C camera. Tack sharp and relatively inexpensive. Happy camper!

Thanks Linda. Took me longer than I’d admit to work out where to put that leg 🤦🏻♂️

Another great Vlog Chris! I really like your handheld LED light do you know where i could purchase one?

There’s a link in the video description. It’s the Ulanzi one. The tripod is a Manfrotto Pixie. About £50 all together.

Do you ever go to the other woods near North Cliffe towards Newbald?
@ChrisBaitsonPhoto2 жыл бұрын
I’ve never been no. A lot of the woods around here all seem like plantation and they all look very similar.

Head to the menu. The second (I think) page it’ll say exposure comp/AEB and you set it in there. Scroll the wheel to 1-2-3 for the number of stops and hit ok. When you look at your light meter you should now have 3 marks. Middle on is your exposure and the marks either side are the over and under. It’ll take 3 photos when you hit this me shutter button.

I have a quention please.. RF 16mm 2.8 with macro extention tube, can i use wide angle macro?
@ChrisBaitsonPhoto2 жыл бұрын
It would be “possible” but you’d have better results using a prime lens between 24mm & 50mm.
