Marson Lane, Bedworth. I used to play there by the canal when I was a kid back in the 70's. Lived in Wootton St. Went to Nico School. Now live in Chester and love macro photography. Small world. 😂😂

Great photos and love the BTS video. Please keep making these. Would like to see some stacking too, in body or post 👌🏻

Very nice Video. I like the idea of using the buttercup as a backdrop. Like you I use several different coloured cloths, so simple but effective. Thanks

You got some nice shots, and that canal looks pretty. It makes me think about Switzerland. 😀

It’s an old mining village called Bedworth but the old canal system throws up some lovely opportunities particularly in the early morning when there is a lot of dew around

Very nice pictures…Are you using bracketing or stacking? So if you do: can you use your flash for several pictures?
@stephenhunt76553 ай бұрын
Great video and shots. I just started into macro photography and have the same set up. Maybe you can do a video on the settings in camera and on flash as to what you use. I'm sure a lot of people would be interested.

Thank you I do intro to do a few setting up videos showing the set up very soon

Also the Raynox 250 stands for 2.5x magnification not 2x as you stated.

Hi! These photos made whit built in stacking or whit bracketing? Graet photos!
@johnnyjohhny3 ай бұрын
These images are single images taken at f14 . I do stack in body too but not all the time. I’m hoping to make more videos soon to cover this

Why are you using the Raynox instead of the OM-1 in camera 2x Digital Telecconverter ?
@johnnyjohhny3 ай бұрын
because i preferer the speed of clipping it on off fast in the field rather than go into the menu and never had a problem with the image quality
@MarkusHorrer2 ай бұрын
The Digital teleconverter is just a crop done by the camera, which then upscales the image, the Raynox is actually a magnifying glass that gives you more magnification and in turn more pixels on the subject for more detail, the digital teleconverter doesn‘t do that.

lovely shots, thanks for sharing! I wish I could wake up early enough to catch the morning dew and daybreak :)

Brilliant video and wonderful shots. Would you mind sharing what settings you used please? 🙂

Very kind of you to say , in this instance there were single shots taken at 1/125 second and the Olympus 60mm had the Raynox 250 close up filter attached and my Godox flash was on TTL + 1 and my aperture was f14 and at F14 it is as far as can push the lens before noticing de fractions. I would normally focus stack at around f2.8 and drop the flash to manual and 1/16 power so it could keep up with the multiple fast shots

@johnnyjohhny Many thanks Brent. I too use the OM1 but with the 90mm Zuiko lens. As you probably know it's 2x magnification so I haven't tried it with the raynox 250 yet, I'm still getting used to this system after using Nikon macro gear previously. I was pleased and amazed to see the quality of the shots you are getting, I'm nowhere near that yet but improving slowly. Looking forward to seeing more of your work and thanks again for sharing your settings. Much appreciated. 👍 🙂

Unfortunately I do not agree with the Creator. If you have the OM-1, use the in camera 2x Digital Telecconverter.....much better image quality. Also, you will need a flash that recycles fast enough. I have the Godox V860iii for Olympus at 1/32 power.. Use 1/250 SS at F/13 handheld. I'm using the M.Zuiko F/3.5 90mm macro lens.

@@andrewchild1592 i have 3 V860 flashes but preferer the size of the V350 never had any issues keeping up stacking with it when required. maybe you could put a link on here with some of your work?
