@@智-f8r We have holograms for concerts now. So there's that and AI. The ghost drone from Macross Plus is slave to an AI called Sharon Apple. Artificial Intelligence can beat the Turing test with current technology and fool people into thinking it's a human responding.
Fun little detail I don't think a lot of people are noticing: the drummers on the stage are full sized Zentraedi. Can you imagine how that must have sounded and felt with every beat?

A song that revives young age. It comes to mind without fading. It's not nostalgia, but I want to connect it to the vitality for tomorrow.

The 70 and the 80,s the golden decade of the music, movies and animes (Macross, Dominion Tank Police, Lupin, Bubblegum Crisis....) the animes is assembled everything made integrally by hand, both the animations, the backgrounds and the sprites, the anime of the 70s and 80s made by hand had a charm that the current ones made entirely by computer do not have so much
I just love how Minmay starts dancing so silly like she is starting an engine just to make people hype up......and it works.

@UToobUsername015 ай бұрын
She's chinese. The blue is usualy what happens when a black haired person has to use anime colors because you don't want negative color in a animation. Eg when you see a white colored valkyrie it's actually silver or gunmetal in real life. Think Megatron in Transformers g1 cartoon: they can only use white cel paint to represent reflective silver in the cartoon. But if Megatron were real he would have silver paintscheme.

The song name is Tenshi no enogu Singer Linn Minmey voiced by Mari Ijima
The story goes that the original theatrical version didn't have the concert footage just a black screen. But the reason for that is they ran out of time and put this music clip in "Flashback 2012" where you see Megaroad01 leave earth and the concert is Minmay's goodbye concert before she leaves on this ship with Misa. So what they did was splice in the footage from "Flashback 2012" into the original movie so instead of a black screen you get the concert footage of minmay dancing and singing. (but you don't see the mysterious brown haired pilot in the VF-4. VF-4 is the sucessor to the VF-1 Valkyrie and has energy weapon as main gun with fixed wings as shown in the tv series when Hikaru is holding a model kit of it in hospital) This version of the movie is the definitive version of Macross Do You Remember Love because the concert footage is included. The extra footage of Megaroad and Minmay singing and dancing in the credits was the original intention so the one you are seeing is the final preferred edition of the movie. If you want to see all the music clips of Minmay and the VF-4 Valkyrie in use watch "Flashback 2012". (think of it like a bunch of music videos of minmay with animations not seen in the movie) The year 2012 was the year humans launched the Megaroad to search for new planets to inhabit in case another attack on earth happens and we lose the war and become extinct. Global's plan (as outlined in the final portion of SDF:Macross TV shows is to spread our seed accross the galaxy to lessen our chances of becoming extinct if Zentradi ever try to destroy earth once more. In the real world we have nuclear bombs that if we ever enter world war 3 can mean a nuclear war which is an extinction-level event that may result in all of us dying. Macross has a similar grim view but in the form of aliens doing the destroying instead of us blowing oursleves up in a global nuclear war.

i love this song since i saw this when i was 10 years old way back now im 48 years old i still love this , it brings back memory when i was a kid
If anyone wants to know what that first conversation is all about, Misa was explaining the meaning behind the song that gives this movie its name, a simple popular love song that somehow reaches across time and space to bring wars to an end and bring people together!

The zentradi are brainwashed into being merely fighting machines by the protoculture that made them. Think Frankenstein's monster but in space. Once they hear the tune it triggers a memory in their brains from ages ago and that trigger memory reminds them that they were once peaceful people that did more than just fight. It's the moral of the story that fighting and destruction only leads to death. The PC is us since some of them landed on earth as shown in the prequel OVA series "Macross Zero". This hidden knowledge is not public to the rest of the world but is the key to why the zentradi are not fully into destroying us on first sight as they see us as possibly their creators. (but in reality we are just non-brainwashed) The Protoculture are the ones who caused the mess and the reason the giants are obsessed with us because they may figure out the hidden meaning to life beyond destroying and fighting. This is the ethical problem of genetic modification: you sent the Satan's puppets to go do the fighting for you and what happens when the war is over? They get bored and start to attack their own creators!! So culture gives these barbarians some meaning and the key to mentally calming them down so they forget about their fave hobby which is blowing things up. Zentradi are basically americans LOL Watch the movie "America: World Police".
The first OAV in my life. One of my favorites sagas. Macross will be always in my heart.

2023. Have not seen this ending since 1984. Thankyou . 2:58 always makes me tear knowing the movie's over.. ever making me closer to the characters. "hits rewind on the VCR to start the movie all over again :)" Full Closure.
The deep theme of this wonderful anime is expressed in the conversation between Misa and Claudia in this final scene. "After all,what was that song?" "It was an ordinary popular song." "A popular song?" "It's a ordinal love song that was popular in alien towns tens of thousands of years ago..." *Super Dimension Fortress Macross -Do you remember Love-(1984) Hopefully the power of common and ordinary culture will bring peace to our real mankind.

instantly brought me back to childhood...thanks for the music
Being a child of the 80s (I was born in 1976), I've made a point to show my sons this movie in order to show them while we didn't have the computer technology for the fancy CGI like modern animes, the ones made in my childhood are superior. The characters looked better (Most characters look the same nowadays with hair color being the difference, and the stories were better as well. I also find that I still prefer the 80s anime style, compared to modern anime where everyone has overly large eyes and they make a point to make the characters too cute.

i agree with about 80% because most the time the CGI is kinda ass unless your watching something like knights of sidonia or space battleship yamato or even gundam for that fact character design wise it really depends on the studio because some studios tend to go off cloned based drawings hence why they look the same
