I am from Cebu and i love Cebu airport! can’t imagine going thru manila airport ever again! easy access, world class facilities and courteous, warm and honest customer service. The best Philippine airport by far.

Thank you for this review of MCIA, i found your narrative to be very interesting. As a New Zealander married to my Filipina wife for many years and part of this time residing at our home on Cebu, we have passed through Mactan Airport numerous times arriving or leaving. Indeed i have a close personal friend working there in the Aviation Security Unit, whom i always look forward to renewing friendships with when we meet at Mactan. Because of the Covid, sadly we have been unable to visit our beloved Cebu for the last 4 years but look forward to visiting for a vacation in the coming New Year. Thanks for covering the old Lahug Airport. I was able to hitchhike to Manila on the available DC-3 cargo planes in the 1960s. Travel was simple and free if you had connections.

My Unforgettable memories on the late Lahug airport, was we go biking there during the 80's. I used to live in lahug and we past by the airport to Banilad.
