I was experiencing disconnection from wifi a couple times a week with my ISP device. Last weekend, I installed OC200, TL-R605, TL-SG2008P and 2 EAP245V3 in my house upgrading from ISP modem/router combo. My 2 EAP are ethernet wired to the switch as are my 2 TV and my PS5. I have 35 devices connected to my network. I'll report back in a few weeks about it but for now, everything worked flawlessly. Your previous videos helped me set things up so thank you!

i use edgerouter's but last week i installed er605 behind cgnat as l2tp client and i was very happy with the output, the omada stuff is nice, its a unifi rip off but its nice that every device has its own web management interface and its not forcing you to have a controller if you dont need it. Keep up the great work.

Great video! Can't wait to see the remote office/shop setup with the CPE-710s

I will be watching this series closely. I have been an MT user for over 10 years but may be ready to switch it out for all tp-link. Already have the 225 and this series may just convince me to go all the way.

If I am not mistaken...the omada series does not support LAG/LACP? Having a Synology 920+, I would like to try and take advantage of LACP (as I do today with my juniper switch) and have the luxury of using SDN. That might not be possible today, or maybe the future from what I can tell and I would have to go with another tp-link series switch that does support LACP/LAG

@@MactelecomNetworks I spent some time looking today. The 2008p does have LAG/LACP. I just ordered the OC200, SG2008P and ER605. Amazon should have them at my door tomorrow. So time to get my new network configured...will follow your lead!

Great videos, very helpfull . Any chance for a guide on how to create a site-to-site vpn with omada cloud controler?
@bokolobs12643 жыл бұрын
Thanks for these Omada videos and looking forward to the next ones! I wonder if you could also create a video and/or comment on the QoS/SQM (or whatever it is called) capabilities of the Omada system. I'm debating between getting this system or the Unifi line. I'm leaning towards the Unifi line because they have nailed the SQM/fq_codel down to pat. But the Omada line is more affordable and my system is not that demanding. I do need a more robust VPN and SQM though, so that's why I'm looking beyond consumer-grade wireless routers. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Can you configure different VLANs for different RADIUS-users on the APs?
@ViktorEngelmann Жыл бұрын
Can you configure RADIUS on the APs directly (and take VLANs from the RADIUS server) or do you need the Omada Controller? (And if you need the controller: is that software included?)

Hi Mac, what would be the counterpart of Ubiquiti's DPI to Omada, if there is any? Thanks

Got a question, the 660HD doesn’t support meshing right now, but the 265/245 do. Are the 265 able to create the mesh through the 660 if it’s the “main” access point? Have you verified this works?

Is it must to have TP Link Router? What if I have some of mine router, is it ok to go with only software controller and APs? Thanks (also I have my own PoE switch)

Great video, thanks!. what I want to do is adopt the ER605 to the Omada OC200, BUT Keep ALL the ER605 config rather than start over with a new config in the OC200. In other words, have the OC200 Import all the ER605's config including the Already Defined Static IPs, etc, to the OC200. There must be a way to do so? -Chris

Is this setup still good in 2024? Has Omada gotten better/worse? Also, is the OC200 being powered by POE? Thanks

Hi, can the Omada system works without any Jetwstream switch (just very basic unmanaged switch)? Actually, I just need 3 AP and the ER605 has enough LAN port for me (1 Port for WAN, 1 port for the Controller OC200). Thanks you so much for your contribution.

I have this setup ER 605, OC 200 and (2) EAP 620HD.. It works.. but miss some features like ACL and LACP. After a month I Added SG2210P switch for ACL and LACP purposed. ACL is for VLAN (so guest cannot access to main) and LACP is for my Synology NAS to maximized speed of dual LAN. One more thing the switch has a POE to power the OC 200 and EAPs. Having a managed switch is a must..

Hello, QUESTION. Is it possible to have our charities office in the Philippines networked to our main location in Canada? That way our team in the Philippines can access our Synology and I can manage both networks?
