I’ve been using controlled demo and it’s lowkey one of the best titan builds the shotgun itself is nuts, if your having ammo issues throw on a special finisher and just chain it and you’ll always have it!

@@largepurplemonkey I also run echo of cessation (might be wrong on the name) so that I can get breaches (for the artifact) off of all volatile targets and so finishers chain more volatile and give me special ammo with the finisher mod

I created my own build with this exotic and void sub class is solid. Add some of the artifact perks and makes it even better. Is solid for GM's. Add devour aspect even better.

if you put bubble super while close to the boss the submunitions will bounce inside the bubble that deal huge amount of damage + weaken as long the bosses is inside the bubble, great for dealing with bosses or lucent hive

I notice you aren’t utilizing any armor charge. I have found a special ammo finisher to be very useful for ammo upkeep.

@@ethanmcguire-zi5rb nah i checked that, it’s cause my finishers are generating orbs and it auto picks up, i’m not sure why but i think finisher kills count as elemental damage from your subclass which activates siphon mods

I ended up trying a thematic based build with the gun on Titan with Prismatic. I have yet to try it in harder content, but it is meant for survivability and ad clear. I use a discord recombination sniper from Onslaught and the shotgun. I also use a kinetic tremors/one for all Blast Furnace for champions. I use the void abilities from the artifact and some of the stasis ones. Run diamond lance + knockout with a Spirit of the Assasin + Spirit of Scars class item. I cannot recall all of my prismatic gear atm, though. I recall this though: Twilight Arsenal, Thruster, Shield Throw, your choice of pulse grenade and suppressor. You want special ammo finder + the finisher mods that give overshield and a special ammo brick. I do recall having the fragment that grants Volatile rounds, the fragment that gives you a elemental pick up based on what you kill a target with, I recall using the fragment that causes a sever burst on precision hits, and I do not recall the rest. I have yet to test in higher difficulty outside of solo expert Kell's Fall.

Slayers fang is able to weaken entire rooms of enemies with its subminitions with no trouble so weakening grenades feels like a major waste of a fragment slot. Swap that for echo of harvest to get an absurd amount of orbs from killing void debuffed enemies and swap bastion for controled demolition + echo of instability for volatile rounds makes slayers fang into an absolute monster. Echo of starvation for more grenades plus healing and whatever you want for the last fragment is the cherry on top. Also special ammo finisher let's you use this thing like a primary with the amount of orbs echo of harvest is making.

Controlled demo is the way to go, between Repulsor, no Backups and shield throw you have more than enough overshield the controlled demo will allow easy killing of grouped up ads plus will allow triggering of fragments that use volatile effects and will keep health topped up under the overshield if you do get hit by something big.

It might just be me, but i personally went with loose change for the catalyst. Dont get me wrong, repulsor brace is definitely an S tier perk, but i just think it's a bit redundant if no backup plans already gives me an overshield for defeating enemies. Instead of overlapping with no backup id rather get better gun performance, and if i desperately need an overshield i can just panic pop a bastion barricade.

I should have submitted this build. I made it immediately after getting the shotgun. Paired with tinasha's and a heavy GL its a fun build. But I swapped the super to sentinel just because its fun and roaming supers charge incredibly fast now.

something I've noticed is that the Nightswon Sight perk activates from Void breach pickups. Surely that has to be a bug, right? Either way, I'm gonna keep utilizing it in my build for as long as I can. Saving a small amount of ammo in the longrun after all

You do not need repulsor brace when NBP already gives you and overshield on every kill...

Nah it’s not on every single kill, it’s on every major ennemy kill. You need like 2 or 3 kills on trash mobs to get the overshield. Repulsor brace is a bit overkill indeed but I think it’s by default the best catalyst, mostly because beside Cascade Point the others are basically useless in a NBP setup. Cascade Point is a bit tough to activate and take advantage of in higher difficulty content, when Repulsor Brace is just another easy way to pop that overshield. But to be honest none of these catalysts is a game changer imo.

@ I thought I’d 2-3 red bars to get it or 1 orange bar but after that any kill with a shogun refreshes it. No matter if they are debuffed or not. And yeah the catalyst seem pretty underwhelming. Discord would have been so much better imo

I tested this shotgun against barrier champions and it didn't work... well, at least not in the lost sector on master difficulty. I thought it was a bug (normal in Destiny), but I used the scavenger's fate and it worked normally. 🤯
