Thank you for the excellent information. I was just diagnosed with macular degeneration 4 days ago and prescribed a vitamin supplement (PreserVision) to help slow the process.

My father has been diagnosed with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and recently, his vision has become fully blurry, leaving him unable to see clearly. We are deeply concerned about his condition and would appreciate your expert guidance on potential treatment options or any measures that could help alleviate his symptoms. Could you please advise on the best course of action or any available treatments? We would also appreciate any recommendations for managing this condition and improving his quality of life.

@Kajitharan.jr22 I'm really sorry to hear about your father's diagnosis. Wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) can be very challenging, but there are treatment options that can help slow the progression and potentially improve vision. The most common treatment for wet AMD involves **anti-VEGF injections** (vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors), which are injected into the eye to reduce the growth of abnormal blood vessels under the retina. These injections can help manage the condition and, in some cases, improve vision. It's important to follow up with an eye specialist (ophthalmologist) regularly to monitor his condition and the effectiveness of the treatments. Other treatments might include **laser therapy** or **photodynamic therapy**, which may also be options depending on the specifics of his condition. In addition to medical treatments, managing lifestyle factors can help improve his quality of life: - Encourage him to eat a **healthy diet** rich in antioxidants (such as leafy greens, fish, and nuts), as these can support eye health. - **Low vision aids** (like magnifiers or special glasses) can be useful for improving his remaining vision. - Ensure he has a **safe living environment** to reduce the risk of falls and accidents due to vision impairment. It’s crucial to work closely with his ophthalmologist to determine the best course of action and treatment for his specific case. Please feel free to consult a low vision specialist who can offer additional support for daily living adjustments. Wishing your father the best possible care and improved health!

I have all the symptoms, but every time I go to the eye doctor they tell me I don’t have it and I have to do my own research and I feel like I do have it and I keep on misdiagnosing me

I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with the diagnostic process. Macular degeneration can sometimes be challenging to diagnose, and it's essential to have a thorough evaluation by an eye specialist. If you genuinely believe you have symptoms of macular degeneration, consider seeking a second opinion from another eye doctor or a specialist in retinal diseases. Trust your instincts and advocate for your eye health until you receive a definitive answer and the right guidance for managing your condition. Your vision is precious, and it's crucial to ensure you're getting the best care possible.

Thank you for your video. May I ask if it is possible to partially loose vision, like darker visibility plus distortion overnight with no previous ocular history. I am told its Wet AMD but how is this possible without any early/intermediate history? There is no family history nor diabetes. The only thing I have suffered is 9 months of unrelenting terrible stress bought on by others. Do you think this may have caused this please?..
