Guys dont buy it for PC, youll only have problems with connections and microphone. I bought it and got dissappointed. The mic is only usable via bluetooth, not with the modem that comes with it. And there's the problem. Bluetooth doesn't support mic and HQ Audio at the same time. So the mic is basicly useless pr do you want to use a headset on 16kbit/s, mono, without 3d or nosie canceling ? For more infos you can google for bluetooth profiles and what they do. I dont have time atm to write down the whole story again in English so here it is in German, i hope google translate will help you xD Heres what I wrote as review in the shop where I bought it: Ich habe mir dieses Headset gekauft, weil ich von den obigen Funktionen sehr beeindruckt war. Vorne weg, zum Sound kann ich nix sagen, wenn der mal funktioniert (dazu komme ich später noch) ist der wirklich top! noch nie so ein klarer Sound gehabt, auch der 3d Sound und das Noise-Canceling sind Spitze. So ging es mir, als ich es mit meinem Handy verbunden hatte. Als ich es danach jedoch mit dem PC verbinden wollte ging es los: "Mikrofon nur benutzbar wenn man via Bluetooth verbunden ist". Wie kann ich das bitteschön im Laden schon wissen wenn es in der Anleitung steht ? Mit dem mitgeliefertem Modem ist das aus welchen Gründen auch immer nicht möglich, über das Modem funktioniert alles bis auf das Mikrofon. Also gut, dann musste ich 2 Tage warten, bis ich einen Bluetooth-Stick hatte und es meiner Meinung nach endlich gehen sollte. Aber ich würde ja so schlecht bewerten wenn man alle Probleme mit einem 15€ Gerät lösen könnte: Es geht nicht wie man es von einem 300€!!! Headset erwartet! Verbindung etc. funktionierte zwar, aber sobald ich das Mikrofon nutzen will wird die Sound-Qualität einfach mal so krass herruntergedrosselt, dass ich lieber meine alten Kopfhörer mit Kabelbruch nutzen würde, statt das 300€ Headset. Durch Recherche habe ich herausgefunden, dass dies an den Audio-Profilen von Windows bzw. Bluetooth liegen könnte, jedoch bin ich mir da nicht so sicher, da es auf meinem Handy 1a ging, auch beim Callen. Wenn das der Fall wäre kann das Headset ja nicht viel dafür ABER da es ein bekanntes Problem wäre finde ich es einfach nur miserabel, dass man nirgends gewarnt wird, weder auf der Packung noch sonst irgendwo. Bei einem 300€ Headset erwarte ich einfach, dass man sich sicher sein kann, das Mikrofon benutzen zu können, da ich mir sonst auch einen 300€ Kopfhörer holen kann und sicherlich mehr davon haben würde. Ich habe den Support am 27.1 kontaktiert und mit dem Thema Konfrontiert...und mir wurde bis jetzt noch nicht geantwortet. Ich hoffe der Support antwortet bald, ich möchte ungern noch mehr Aufwand betreiben geschweige denn Massnahmen wie Kassensturz o. Ä. treffen. rkl08551 I don't think so since I exactly know what i am talking about. google about bluetooth profiles and find me one that supports hq sound and microphone... good luck. I know it works for ps4 and xbone but for pc it doesn't work like a 300€ headset should. you cant use hq sound while using microphone.

So far its not looking good for the console. Chat audio only comes out the left ear, and the volume is extreemly soft. I dont know if they are defective or ifnthats how it is on console. They did, however, sound good via bluetooth with my phone. But i dont want a $300 bluetooth mobile headset. I am kinda bummed right now

You must be kidding? The mic on this thing sucks on PC gaming because Bluetooth profiles switch. Just returned mines to Amazon yesterday after trying weeks and going through Bluetooth adapters. If you use the adapter box the mic will not activate and if you go strictly bluetooth when you say ANYTHING with the mic all the qaulity goes out the window. I own a STRIKE 7 MMO7 RAT 9 MMO TE I love the company but this headset is mend fo cell phone gamers!

Dear Mad Catz! I just purchased previous version, F.R.E.Q.7 and i am a bit surprised, that there are no proper driver and sofware at your website. Software is absent at all and driver presents me with Blue Screen of Death when i try to enter League of Legends or Heroes of Newerth. When i am not in game - sound is perfectly okay, even without software (however it is strange, first time in my life, when i can't download a software). Is there any way to receive adequate support, other than some indian moron asking you to go madcatz.com/download (which means he didn't really read my initial message) or try to switch off and switch on the device. I have heard a lot of good things of Mad Catz, i like design blah blah blah, but how come such a respected company simply can't provide an adequate support. This F.R.E.Q.9 looks awesome from the very beginning, but i suppose to meet same problems again there, how to avoid that?

If you are playing on PC and you use anytype of chat stay as far away from these headsets as possible beileve me I tried working with these things for 2 weeks Bluetooth cannot support 2 profiles at 1 time meaning if your playing the game alone you will get a2dp profile which allows ALLLLLLL the great features this headset offers but the moment you use your VOIP service (Skype, TS3, Mumble, Vent, etc. ANYTHING THAT USES A MIC INCLUDING MOST ONLINE GAMES your profile is switched to mono and then you basically talking on a old 1980s cord phone because thats the way bluetooth works)

I bought these and they arrived at my home today. I will be messing around with them tonight for the first time. I will post a review on amazon this weekend - most likely. I hate that there is like only one review from a website that I am not familiar with, and they did not really address the information a gamer would want. Mad Catz did a bad job in advertising this and this video makes the headset look like it is mainly for mobile devices. I would have hoped that Mad Catz would give this headset to some major companies to review and get the hype started......however, their lack of this makes me worried that they did not because the reviews would be bad. Plus, NO ONLINE MANUAL found on Mad Catz website!! Come one Mad Catz. I hope I don't regret the purchase. I am buying them mainly for my PS4 so I will base my review around that topic.

CallmeAffiliated. Not good. Volume is very soft. And the voice chat only comes out the left ear. I have set everything up the way the instructions say. The weird part is when I change the audio on my ps4 to have all audio come through the controller it goes to both ears, but when I change it to chat only, it goes back to coming out the left ear only. I think these are made mainly for mobile Bluetooth. I knew the sounded too good to be true.

CallmeAffiliated the PS4 says it does not have a supported profile for the headset so you are stuck with cable to the controller. :(

IF YOU ARE A PC GAMER DO NOT BUY THESE BLUETOOTH MIC SUCKS!!!!! Read up on profile switching! Mic swaps you to mono headsets regardless of bluetooth hardware or software 8/10 people are returning these completely useless unless you play on console or phone (If you are doing either why spend 300 on a headset go buy a PC)
