I will miss the MD80. I was lucky enough to fly on it several times before it got retired. That engine buzzing and the roar that came after this aircraft passed is Iconic.

I watched the whole video. Gosh, the Maddog's low bypass engines sound great! Especially on taxi when they spool up and then down. The engines sound like windchimes during taxi. Then an epic buzzsaw on takeoff.

4:47 I like the shockwave coming off the wing, people on the ground were probably hearing BOOM, BOOM, BOOM.

That is actually over-wing condensation. Not a shock wave. No Boom Booms.

Very cool. I’ve been on N956DL and N900DE. I remember these registrations very well for some reason.

N900DE was the aircraft used for Delta's final MD-88 flight in June. Pretty cool you got to fly on her.

Used to fly Spirits mad dogs from Orlando to Detroit a lot. Spirit had nice first class seats back in the day that were affordable. Made the flight a bit easier. Plus, every row moving forward makes a difference with those two noise makes strapped to the ass end. After I read about the Chinese steel issues with the tail screw….I had a hard time flying on those. Shortly after they were scrapped anyway. Now spirit has banana planes…lbooooooring.

How many Tulsa Videos do you have??? 😂😂
@sla31
@sla31 4 жыл бұрын
A lot. Remember, I live near Tulsa. So, naturally, I start and end most of my trips in Tulsa. Which means there’s going to be a lot of Tulsa Footage. If you’d like, I can start flying out of Joplin again. But, seeing as American is the only airline that flies into Joplin and they only fly to Dallas, that would be even more repetitive haha.
