I think alot of people are missing something; They Last Man is sending an assassin down, exactly the same, with the same exact brief case of explosives. Each assassin doesnt help anyone, alone, lets them all die, and continues, he comes down here, and almost sets the bomb off before dying. Whats worse, the suit case never blows up, their all defective. Their all dying a meaningless death because The Last Man never changes anything, keeps making the same choices, expecting a different outcome, the definition of insanity. The Mad God?.... All the bombs, are made the same, so they never changed it, they never explode. Hundreds of years worth of assassins have died. If it took nearly a week for a assassin to go down that pod. Then the mountain of cases is evidence, this has been going on for a LONG time.
@namelles61432 жыл бұрын
Wdym he dosent make the same choices he chooses a different route with a different map each time and the next assassin he sends just ends up finding a car driving through a war zone and is never seen again (for those who haven't seen the "movie" he doesent die or anything he's driving in a shitty car then it just hard cuts to the nurse and we litteraly just don't know what happens to him) and the suitcase does blow up at the end there's no narrative or lesson here just a bunch of pretentious garbage framed in amazing stop motion

Agreed, this movie teaches the very important filmmaking lesson that you cannot really make a movie without some humanity in it. The assassin is really the only character in this movie who is not overtly grotesque in some manner, as soon as he disappears from the film, the movie fails to make me care, when he shows back up in the flashback, i'm invested again. I wish the whole movie was about him.

Even though I'm late i can share a thought here once in a while so: The fact that the timer on the bomb doesn't move signifies that time doesn't continue as everything doesn't change, its not that the bomb is defective like the rest of piles of briefcase that's there, its that they don't expect that time wouldn't work in the depths of hell they are in, Time only moved right after the movie ended cause the alchemist and the doctor created a new timeline or something (idk), the one that has a world of innocence even if there is violence in the world which he wanted to change, after that the time moved forward signifying that something really did changed. We cant know if the new placed suitcase bomb activated and exploded since it doesn't show in the movie, but my own thoughts is that after all of the other assassins that went down there for nothing had finally paid off since if the bomb that got placed exploded then it should have made the others also exploded with the radius its in, thus having change like a restart. We cant really know what happened to the other assassin that went down from the spiral since that was the past and we cant know for sure if the assassin is the same as one that got mutilated and i think that's all i can say.
