I was always of the opinion that Mad God has no real story or message, and should be viewed as a shot-for-shot emulation of a nightmare. The weird pacing, tangential storylines that only barely make sense; bizarre, visceral visuals and this strange sense of profoundness to it all that you can't quite piece together or identify. The entire movie feels like a constant feed of raw stimulus rather than a cohesive narrative

I’m guessing the experiment is that in the moment the “parent” would run away thinking one of saving them selves rather then then “child”, while the flees despite being given the firepower to change the outcome would rather only focus on horsing for them selves. The experiment is about the lack of altruism?
@BeachioSandschannelАй бұрын
Now that I think about it, altruism not being present is a huge theme in this film. The Assassin never stops to help any of the people in this hell.

A perfect encapsulation of the film’s main theme: if you truly believe this universe to be guided by a benign and beneficent intelligence, I’ve only got three words to say……”look behind you”

Everybody thinks the bomb is defective but it's actually the world the bomb is in that's defective. Time is broken down there so the clock doesn't work until the Beast gets time moving again at the end.

This movie was one of the darkest I have ever seen. Behind it is a deep story that is hard to see if you don't pay attention. However, I believe this title is mislabeled, as the alchemist is from what I have seen and read is the lady in the plague mask. This is simply her assistant.

its not intended to appear edgy. my path of thought was simple: the movie depicts gore. not everyone likes that. but like all things, if you get used to it, it ceases to be a problem. that was all- or how would you reformulate the content of my original comment in order to not have a problem with it?
