so the most intense parts of the song are when dipper is asleep because he's fighting bill in his sleep, and the arms represent his balance in the dreamscape and in the real world, and when bill takes over they dissipate because dippers gone.

I can definitely see this as Dipper if Bill got through his plan of throwing his body off the water tower (as in the third journal.) Being stuck in the mindscape forever, stuck with being unable to 'see all the colors that we see'. It would also certainly explain him wanting to be free from (in what my opinion is) hell.

I've been looking for this song from years ago for an hour. All I had to go on was a single lyric. I didn't even know the tune. I thought another lyric was part of it, so I found another song from the same time but accident. Then I remembered this existed, so I looked up "gravity falls map dipper" and found this. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have a song to the lyric that ended up not actually existing and instead being a manifestation of the music video.

IDK"_ Bill is an *immortal* dream demon so to him time has no meaning therefore he wouldn't keep track of how long he's been alive. 0:27 - 0:33 _"I can't get a grip but I can't let go. There wasn't anything to hold onto though"_ 0:34 - 0:39 _"Why can't I see? Why can't I see? ALL the colours that you see?"_ In the dreamscape, there are no colours. 0:40 - 0:45 _"Please, Can I be? Please, Can I be? Colourful and Free!"_ I take colourful and free and see it as 3D and free because that is what Bill wanted to be. He wanted to be free from the nightmare realm with a 3dimensional body. 0:47 - 0:53 _"What the hell is going?! Can someone tell me please?! Why I'm switching faster than the channels on TV?!"_ When he is about to 'die', his body starts switching into different forms like it can't decide which one would be best. 0:54 - 0:56 _"I'm black then I'm white, no something isn't right!"_ This is a perfect example of how confused and scared he was when he was about to 'die'. 1:01 - 1:07 _" The trembling fear is more than I can take. When I'm up against the Echo in the mirror."_ This line is more about Dipper when he is fighting Bill for his body back and for when he and his family are fighting Bill in weirdmagendon. In which Bill would be the 'Echo'. 2:10 - 2:17 _"Like boxing. With my shadow in the darkness. I'm fighting, against the echo in the mirror."_ In the scene where Ford and Dipper try to shoot Bill but miss. They were both hiding in the shadows in that scene. 2:22 - 2:49 _"I'm gonna burn my house down into an ugly black. I'm gonna run away now and never look back."_ _x4_ Bill destroyed his home dimension and then left to the nightmare realm. He burnt his home down, He ran away, and He hasn't gone back; because he can't. 3:07 _"My Enemy's invisible and I don't know how to fight."_ At first, they didn't know how to defeat Bill. There was the blaster but that failed so they were left not knowing how to defeat Bill. Of course, Bill isn't invincible but he does have eyes everywhere so he is pretty close to it.
