Here is a cool idea for if this was an actual heavy metal concert. A lot of people argue about whether this is about DID or BPD (Bipolar Disorder) But with us being a DID system we definitely relate to this a lot, especially the beginning describes dissociating pretty well. Our threat isn't invisible right now but people might suffer flashbacks. And when faced with extremely stressful situations, we often find ourselves switching - different alters could perhaps be described like different channels on TV. They display different things, at different times, have different times, but it all comes out of the same TV. Two alters switching with different personalities can feel like your brain is switching between black and white and definitely feels strange. Our most prominent example of this was when our abuser was leaning over us, and shouting, and we cycled so fast that we looked absolutely psychotic just switching between sobbing and yelling "I'M SORRY" and pushing themselves into the corner and the other angrily yelling insults telling them to fuck off basically, and the two were both using the body for it... Now I'd also like to explain that normally one takes the head appearance of us - not clothing or makeup, but how we act and react to things, speaking, texting, etc, instead of multiple alters talking at once and trying to handle it. It ends up in us usually sounding pretty consistent and the differences in typing style usually get passed as being in a different mood. If two people are in front we're used to one being in the "passenger seat" aka watching things happen. I just want people to pay attention to know how terrible it feels and how far we were pushed for the person in the "passenger seat" to come out too and start shouting just trying to protect ourselves. And with that I also want to urge people to never "fakeclaim" systems. We're fake claimed a lot because we intake a lot of media and therefore have a lot of introjects/fictives (alters based off people or characters from pieces of media). We experience so much pain and it doesn't help that just because we have them we're assumed to be a fake. And since medical sources like to perpetuate stereotypes on DID, here's how to make your loved ones with the disorder comfortable. - If your loved one comes out to you as being a system, STAY CALM. Alters are NOT dangerous, they are a sign of prolonged childhood trauma and they're people just like you. The only way they're going to lash out is if you provoke them, just like a normal person. - Ask them if they're comfortable with you asking who's fronting and their pronouns when you meet or if they're uncomfortable with that and want to be called by a collective name and pronouns. - If someone brings up that they're an introject and it's a source you know, DO NOT bring that up. Also don't fangirl over them. Just treat them like people. It makes us so uncomfortable when people claim to recognize our sources or go "OMG you're ??!?!?" (It IS ok to give compliments; but remember introjects are not their source and while every system is different, this behavior makes us extremely uncomfortable.) - Ask if they're ok with you treating every one of their alters as your friend or if they want you to treat each alter as a new person. If they want you to do the latter, DON'T get pissy about it. It's for comfort reasons. - Since DID is a trauma disorder, you may want to ask your friend if they have any triggers. This will help you avoid topics that gives them panic attacks. - Like with C-PTSD, people with DID can go nonverbal from stress and anxiety, or randomly. They can also start dissociating. It might be a good idea to work out a signal for them to use towards you if they go nonverbal. - If you're not already on Discord, the site has a bot called Pluralkit where alters can set up fake profiles proxied by the bot with their own avatar and name attached to it. Suggest this. It can help with dissociation and identity crisis, and it's also a good tool for keeping track of switches should your friend take a liking to Discord/Pluralkit. - Sometimes certain alters will be a different age than your friend, or they may be nonverbal by nature. Or they might have triggers specific to only them. Ask them for this information. - Just remember communication and support is important. If you don't know how to help, ask them what would help them. It's ok to ask a lot of questions because you're trying to help them. Keep in mind they might not like certain terms used for them (for example we hate being called "personalities") and there might just be something that you don't like. It's important to stay with them and NEVER ever abandon or break up with someone because they have the disorder.

The battlefield build up as the heroes prepare for their toughest foe yet as the music builds up and the drums start when a being in thwir small form as if still in between attack or flight as their eyes at the moment bleed out as the heroes lift their weapons "The clock stopped ticking forever ago" The being begins to say as the people begin their attacks hoping to stop it before it fully awakes "How long have i been up, i dont know" As the being looks at its hands as the attacks reach it "I cant get a grip but i cant let go" As the attacks are colught up by awakening portals catching and throwing them back "There wasnt anything to hold on to though" However attacks still land as wholes and slices into its body having it bleed black tarr as if its body was a fake "Why cant i see, why cant i see! All the colors, that you see!" Its eyes burst white as the ground cracks as a slice cuts off its arm as it doesnt even seem affected "Please can i be? Please can i be!" As it. Has its leftover hand press over its head as if in absolute agony that it hasnt shone from all the attacks "Colorful and free?" As the missing arm gets replaced by a black as tar arm thats long and ends in a claw not fitting the rest of the body as the heroes already know its too late, as the friend of the being cries a silent tear knowing that this can now only be stopped with the beings defeat as the watch the rising fight as the cracks reveal black tendrils going trying to drag the heroes to the pits below "What the hell's going on can someone tell me please" As both jands seems to be crushing its own head as it askes the color of whats left of its each switchign rapidly "Why im switching faster than the channels on TV!?" As the previous wounds widen and the tar that leaks from them starts covering the beings body "Im black then im white? No! Something isnt right! My enemys invisible, i dont know how to fight!" As the attacks from the being begin to ramp up from the portals and tendrils spreading to the whole battlefield as its voice sounds less like speaking and more like screaming "The trembling fear is more than i can take! When im up against! The echo in the mirrors " As their screams turn into an echo of sound ways crashing into the heroes forcing them back a moment as it gets completely covered in its on tar like blood as the music forms into a beat as the attacks enter a frivolous state as the beings colors are rapidly turning back and forth between black and white until one of its attacks almost kills a hero only to be stopped by its old friend As its will breaks from the sight as the black tar wins out as the being stops singing a mantra it said all the way back to when it was just a boy that first met the heroes and was in desperate need "Im gonna burn my house down into an ugle black, im gonna run away now and never look back!" As the first two times it say it the being remembers two friends that stook to their side now graves in the tomb Its form lengthening from the first as two pairs of arms reveal in the second The third and fourth reminds itself of the friends to grew to hate what they are now and with the heroes speaking to it as if to ask it to stop Its form goes from human to creature as arme and legs end in claws in the third and the fourth its blood turns into a jesters outfit as if mocking it And the fifth of the main heroes that stole all their friends from him, why, why does he bring the smiles wy does he get the happiness, why am i stuck alone here, what was wrong with me to make them leave! As multiple masks appear beside it forming to different versions of itself that attacks the heroes soon As they last time its says this they look over to their last friend they had saving the hero looking at them with sorrow shattering the last of their will As their face becomes a formless black as its mouth tears itself open to a wicked smile as the real battle starts
