Thanks for all the very cool and interesting methods of madness tips Addam. Some really cool ideas (intentional and some by mistake). Love how you got your rusty pits!😜 Dude you are the Bob Ross of model building! Just look at that Happy little, sugar coated, end of days Mad Max war machine! You sent it… it’s awesome! You should have your own isle at hobby lobby brother!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼💯💯💯🍻🍻🍻

LOL, there were some happy little accidents along the way for sure and I certainly took advantage of them! I don't know how well the "Survival in a a wasteland" isle would go over at the craft store but I like it! I know I would go down it more than any other in the store!!! I am more than happy to share whatever info i have with folks to help out or to learn from my mistakes (good or bad)! I really did not expect the paint error to turn out as good as it did but many discoveries were made due to an error! Thank you for the kind words and any time I can be mentioned in the same sentence as Bob Ross that is an epic win for me!!!!

Thanks and I hope a few decided to give it a try! It really isn't as difficult as it seems, it is really just getting over the fear of ruining it! It is kind of hard to ruin something that is supposed to be cobbled together from wasteland scraps! It is also a great use for an old beat up body as well, just strip the paint and clean it up and start getting crafty!!! Thanks as always for stopping by and checking in!

Thank you and I hope everyone gets a chance to do it. This is also a great thing to do with a old beat up and torn up body as well. You just have to clean and strip it to be able to glue the bits and pieces on properly for a good strong bond. Thanks for stopping by and checking in!

Thank you!! The primer snafu was one that I was totally not expecting and very pleased with the outcome. Not too often you mess up something for the better! I have never seen a paint do that so must be something with this specific primer. Thanks for checking in, always good to hear from you!

Yeah, I knew it was going to be a long one but it is hard to summarize 2 weeks of work and months of thinking about it into a short 5minute review! I hope you got some stuff out if it that is useful and I am glad you liked it! there was a lot of other stuff I could have covered but it would have been a two hour video! I plan on doing another one at some point this year and a couple other custom builds so there will probably be more of these coming! Thanks as always for stopping by and checking in!

Ah yes, getting lost in the work, I know how that is, been times I went to the club "for an hour" and it turns into 4 hours or longer. Just Awesome!!!!! Thanks for sharing how you did it, i'm sure others will follow that, as it's meant to be.

Nice build, would be cool to add the side nerf bars and maybe a couple small skulls to add on the light buckets or somewhere else on the body. Great job! It is so cool!

I did 3D print a couple skulls for it but they were a little too big for it still. I was afraid if I went any smaller the supports would hold the prints they were tiny already! It may get some more stuff later on. Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!!!

Lots of work went into it. Lots of the work done to it is what you do to a rc tank also.
@AddamsPlayground
@AddamsPlayground 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a lot of time and effort but it flies by so fast and I had so much fun with it I didn't even notice! Completely the similar process to model tanks! I have watched a lot of folks on KZbin building model tanks and dioramas so I have taken a much of that and used it in here. My favorite ones to watch is Night Shift here on YT and he does some of the most detailed and labor intensive details on models, truly works of art when he is done with them! Thanks for watching Steve!

Yeah, it was a long one but I had a lot of ground to cover! Trying to wrap up something that took a week or more to get done and had already been thought about here and there for months in a short vide is not easy. I could have easily talked for another hour but had to shut up at some point! It did drive surprisingly well, so much so I took it back out the next day after recording and ran another pack through it! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for stopping by and checking in!

@@DustyFingersRC Yes!! I want to find a volleyball court or other sandy area near me but we don't have much of that close by so I will have to make a trip out to get some more realistic pharos and video once I find the right spot! I need that proper wasteland scenery.

Hi Addam, wow! That was a very involved build and a labour of love! Very interesting content of how you went about creating the components and effects for this Mad Max project. It’s good to listen to thought processes and problem solving creativity that went through your mind. I might have to start calling you the ‘mad doc’! 😊😉😊😁 very intriguing indeed. Awesome build, perhaps better not being run so much, more of a modern art, perhaps some good portrait photographs of the project in a professional setting and you might be able to sell the pictures! Awesome my friend, awesome. Take care, and best wishes to you and the family 😉😊
@AddamsPlayground
@AddamsPlayground 2 жыл бұрын
It has held up extremely well to the couple of runs I have taken it out on. I was cautious with the first one I was recording and it came back unscathed so I decided to take it out again the next day and did not worry about it at all and it came back just the same as day one so it is tougher than you think, I was pleasantly surprised! I thought the saw blades would be the weak point but they have not had any damage even after a bunch of rollovers. The only kind of tedious part about all this build was editing this video, all the rest of it was total fun and the editing wasn't bad but just took forever! I will probably take it to a ball filed of a sandy are around and try to get some proper wasteland looking images with it! the regular landscape here doesn't lend itself to wastelandI have ideas for other kits that I hope to get to this year to "ruin" with a nice healthy coat of decay and neglect!! Thanks for the kind woods and I hope all is well with you and your family also.

It is really fun to see them driving around! I like models and they are fun to assemble but once they are done, they are just that, done. Have an RC version I think you will like as once it is all built and painted the fun really begins! Just make sure you get lots of pics before running and you never know what may get ripped off. The great thing about being the Mad Max themed build is that when things fall off and have to get grafted back on it only adds to realism of them!!
