The director George Miller was a doctor before he started making movies and he got inspiration for the mad max movies because they'd bring in a lot of car accident victims. And Max Rockatansky was named after the famous australian physician carl von rokitansky who created the method of removing organs during autopsies

The actor who portrays Immortan Joe is the same actor who appeared as ToeCutter in the original Mad Max (1979) movie, which also tells Max's origin story. The second movie of the franchise, The Road Warrior (1981) is my favorite of the original trilogy, but this movie has replaced it as my favorite in the franchise. The third movie is Mad Max: Beyond Tunderdome (1985) is the weakest movie, in my opinion, but all the movies in the original trilogy are worth reacting to.
