pink94angel hey! Full disclosure: the prep requires that the costume hide the back of the neck if your hair is really long. There are multiple preps you can do under a bald cap, though wrapping the hair around is infinitely more difficult. With that in mind, I wanted to give you a prep that wouldn't take tons of practice and multiple attempts to look decent. Now that that's out of the way... here's what I would do. Pull your hair in a pony tail like shown. Then glue the front down and all that as shown. The trick is to pull forward as well as down when glueing the bald cap. This will keep you from having a large pocket of slack in the back. (When glueing the back of the neck and sides of the face pull towards the nose and chin to make sure the back is nice and flush) Once you've got the front and sides completed, glue down the sides on the neck, top to bottom not side to side (think of a dangle earring) You want the hair to be flush against the very back of your neck. You are basically leaving a two-three inch area where you can flatten the remaining hair to the back of your neck. Ok, sides are mostly glued but not all the way down... then remove the hair tie. You will have to carefully reach under the bald cap to do this. There shouldn't be much of a bulge. You can now really flatten the hair to the neck and glue the rest of the sides to make the hair flush to the back of the neck. When doing a bald cap, I like to leave a little bit open in places to give the sweat a place to escape. The back of the neck is a great place to do this. You may have some hair coming out, but you'll have to work it into your costume, or under your costume preferably. You won't be glueing off the bottom unless your hair is short, but even still leave a half inch area unglued around around the shoulders. Bald caps are hot, and you don't want sweat pooling up in there. Please let me know if that made any sense. Check out this wrap video if you are interested in doing it the other way. vimeo.com/72130103 This increases the amount of difficulty a great deal, and I wouldn't try it your first time doing a bald cap. Also, if you are going to have metal clips under a bald cap, I recommend using latex and not glatzen. Latex is thicker and won't run the risk of ripping like galtzen, though you aren't able to melt the edges with cosmetic acetone the same way. Hope that helps!
