As an American, I felt cheated seeing the dub most of my life until it was released with the original Australian audio, and it definitely added more flavor to the flick while reminding me of why I fell in love with the movie as it was the first post apocalyptic, dystopian setting I'd ever witnessed.

Madness I was a little kid living in Brazil , me and my best friend we watched it without stopping over and over from Friday night to Monday morning..... Mad Max and Max Max 2 had tremendous impact in Brazil man , every single person I know absolutely adore Max Max and consider it one of the greatest movies ever in history.... I end up moving to Australia 🇦🇺 in the late 90’s because I was so crazy to see and know the land of Mad Max , when I first came here I saw the Falcon GT XA, XB & XC on the road back then we used to see tonnes of then omg I was in heaven on earth never went back to Brazil , amazing movie shaped my idea of where I wanted to be and live even though it was a movie it still portrayed Australiana culture!

Great reunion, incredible talent. These great actors created amazingly memorable characters on screen. Hugh Keays-Byrne was amazing as Toe Cutter in Mad Max and then hit another home run 35 years later as Immortan Joe in Mad Max Fury Road, to name just 2 of many roles. Roger Ward amazing as Fifi and he's got a ton of film credits and a bunch of titles in post getting ready for release. Steve Bissley has a career longer than your arm, and was great as Goose. David Cameron as the underground mechanic - so memorable. Tim Burns amazing actor, played Johnny the Boy so well. And so on.

Mad Max is really a rather sad tale. If you look past the cars and the stunt work and look at the story itself what you are left with is a story of a man that becomes the judge of his own grievance and ultimately turns into the exact same thing he was fighting against. That scene where he chases down ToeCutter is one of the saddest thing's I think I've ever seen.

As a kid I watched this movie so many times I could recite every ones lines word for word perfectly as the movie was playing. My friends would constantly ask me to do certain scenes from the film for them, there is one in particular that I liked to do for them, it is the scene where the bikies just arrived at an outpost rail station to collect THE NIGHT RIDER, and it goes like this. Bubba - " good afternoon " Rail master - " good afternoon " Bubba - " we're here to meet a friend, come in on the train " Rail master - " nothing came in on the train except a couple of crates and a........coffin " Bubba - " our friend " Rail master - " you'll have to see the agent and sign the papers " Bubba - " and where do we find this agent " It was the way the lines were delivered by the actors that made the scene.

I've read that Hugh Keays-Byrne based his portrayal of Toecutter on Genghis Khan. I guess that would cast Bubba Zanetti in the role of Genghis Khan's most trusted general, Subotai (remember that name from another great film?). R.I.P., Geoff Parry. Too bad you couldn't be there with the rest of the cast. BTW, Arkie Whiteley- the actress who played the Gyrocaptain's Girl in Mad Max 2- is also, sadly, no longer with us. :-(

It wasn't an Interceptor replica (though it had a 351 Cleveland V8) but it was fun as hell to drive around Boulder CO when it was the only right hand drive muscle car on the road there. Wow.....Thanks so much for uploading this! The Mad Max movies are movies you want to see over and over again. Nice to see some of the people who made the first one after all these years, especially the Goose...And I HATED the the dubbed voices. What a shitty way to do people and it took away from the movie. I will only watch the original version.

I still never understood why "Jesse" took off running down the middle of the road with their child with no houses or buildings in sight, great movie but that made no sense.

I live in the USA, so i've seen both versions. and let me tell you, I understood the Australian just fine. and its true what Tim Burns says here, you do miss a lot of the color in the dialogue in that version. I fucking *HATE* the "American" version

HILARIOUS! I picture these guys sitting around at a table at a VFW, the way they're talking to each other-clearly there is much love between all these actors!

This is truly awesome seeing the cast of Mad Max 30+ years later even if Mel Gibson wasn't there though one would think that he should have been since he played Max and this movie kick started his career, But I really enjoyed this video, Mad Max is one of the ALL-TIME great classic films!

JayDogTitan 1464 This was back in 2009.....if my memory serves me correctly, Mel was in the middle of that ill fated soul destroying marriage to that Russian loop Oksana Grigorieva and it was a few years after the 'anti-semetic' rant to the highway cop.....I think he was poison.

The bikes....oh, those Kawasaki bikes....I had a '77 Kawasaki KZ1000 when it was new with a 4 into 1 pipe....the sound of the bikes in the movie at high RPM's brings back so many fond memories.

This was a brilliant film and these actors deserve all the accolades they receive. Of course having Mel Gibson there would have been huge, but the film has so many interesting and complex characters that I am sure the attendees were thrilled anyway.

i grew up with the american dubbed version , so only heard the australian version today and was unaware of it till then , i have to say i fell in love with the movie with american dubbing ,but im sure it would have had the same impact in its original format , but i dont think the yank dub is bad ,in fact i really like it , they still speak with an aussie accent ,but its more theatrical in the yank one

Keven Kerrison That's not very nice at all, I'm sure many of us Yanks have plenty respect for our Aussie cousins. I think you personally show your own lack of culture and creativity by having such strong reliance on played out hand-me-down stereotypes.
