Very interesting tone. I love that this version while more aligned with the Gary Jules version strikes its own cord. That is what I find so refreshing about it. Where the original version was very poppy, the lyrics were profound and again they spoke to social issues but it was lost in the tone. Gary Jules cover brought out the depth in the lyrics and introduced a sense of melancholy to the song. It went micro, it felt like it was more about the issues around growing up, being a teenager and wondering what the meaning of life is. This version just ups the scale times eleven and gives the biggest scale to the song I have seen. Its brilliant.
