Mada Ascends

By far the strangest thing that has happened to me so far in this run.
I'm planning on putting Surt, Mada and Mot in the same video. While I was doing attempts of Mada to get a skill upgrade into Bolt Storm this happened. Needless to say I was pretty speechless.

While only Mot is notorious for it, all three of the Diet Building minibosses have the potential for Beast Eye spam. Mot's just the one hardest to shut down in advance via immunities.

I was wondering why challenge runs often seem to put off the Diet Building bosses in favor of going straight for Beelzebub and Metatron, and then the "Pierced!" text made it obvious. As for why your routing discussion in the Bishamonten video didn't do it earlier, you caught up to where I am in my first playthrough the game, so I put off watching it to prevent more spoilers than playlists of completed runs have already given me. The only reason I looked at any part of that video was thinking for a moment you learned Pierce in that fight, and checking the end of the video to see if I was right. (I know unlocking Pierce requires locking yourself into the TDE from looking into how to do that, and admit my first playthrough is weird when considering what I'm allowing myself to be spoiled on. An online fusion calculator listing all the demons in the game is okay by me because the remaster didn't add Reverse Compendium Fusion, but I'm not allowing myself to look up what bosses do in advance even though the calculator includes the resistances of demons who also serve as bosses.)

You're not necessarily spoiling yourself on the bosses' resistances since a good number of boss demons in this game have different resistances from their regular demon counterparts. Albion for example has no unusual resistances as a boss but as a demon in your party he naturally nullifies both physical and ice attacks. Honestly I find myself using fusion calculators and such even when I'm playing more recent games with more fusion-related features, they're just more useful sometimes.
