I'm obsessed with the Oat Cleansing Balm and the price point is fantastic as well. I also love the retinol but I find myself reaching for something stronger like my Adapalene gel. I'll be moving on to Tretinoin soon! One of your misses is actually one of my hits! The Vitamin B, C and E moisturizer is great. I really enjoy it. But I've got so many moisturizers now so I dont reach for it too often unless I feel like my skin needs that extra boost. A miss for me is their Vit C serum. It burned the heck out of my skin and I had to wipe it off. It was horrible! I've heard that people mix it in w a moisturizer and I should have tried that before I gave it away lol. I love the caffeine eye cream from the Inkey List and I'm not one for eye creams at all. I think they're a total waste but this one is good.

I think it says on the bottle of the vitamin c that you have to mix it with their hyaluronic acid. But i prefer a serum that i don't need to mix with something else for it to work. As for the retinol, i likeit but I can see why you want to tey something stronger because i hear that there isn't enough retinol there. I think it's like1%Retistar which is another form of retinol (retinoid?)

I bought the oat cleansing balm off of your recommendation. I used it as soon as it arrived and I love it so far! It's so affordable compared to other more expensive cleansing balms that I've used. I definitely use it as the first step to a double cleanse as it leaves the slightest residue on the skin which will wash off with a water based cleanser. A small amount of product will cover my entire face generously so the big 150ml size tube will last me a while. 👍 I like that this cleansing balm comes it in a tube because it's quick and hygienic to dispense instead of having to wash a small spatula before and after scooping product out of a tub. The tube actually makes me double cleanse more frequently; especially on those time poor mornings or after a tired long day. I always wished balm cleansers would come in a more convenient dispenser before I knew this product existed. I prefer balm cleansers over oil cleansers because the oil cleansers I've tried are too runny/messy, and they leave a heavier oily residue on the skin after I wash it off before following up with a gel/foam cleanser. Thank you so much for bringing this cleanser to my attention. I think it's definitely a holy grail product that will replace my other balm cleansers.

Love the Inkey List especially their Tranexamic Acid. Recently started using the oat cleansing balm and have fallen in love with it. Products i tried: - vitamin c - alpha arbutin - niacinamide -BHA serum -squalane -retinol -brighten-i cream - glycolic toner Out of that list i don't recommend the vitamin c (too stinging and pasty), brighten i (i like the metal applicator but like you im thinking all eye creams are a scam), glycolic toner (i have oily acne prone skin and the ordinary's toner was stinging my face. I think Hyram did a comparison with the ordinary and recommended the inkey list's toner over the ordinary because he thought it was more gentle so i got it per his suggestion but it wasn't working for me), niacinamide (it's moisturizing but i think it's because it's oil based (specifically soybean ) and i don't think it's good for my skin. I like the retinol but its definitely beginner friendly. I also like the alpha arbutin because it's moisturizing but its so small. The squalane is fine; nice oil to seal up everything else at night. I also likethe pha toner, much gentler than the glycolic one. The BHA is fine, just have yet to see any results from it.

As of this week (8/20/20) The Inkey List now ships to US via their website .... so happy about that ... we can buy direct and not have to rely on Sephora! Some of my favs from the brand are their 15% Vitamin C and EGF Serum, their Q10, their Snow Mushroom Gel Moisturizer, & their Retinol Serum. Have a few new things of theirs I recently ordered that I can’t wait to try too, but jury still out on those - lol!

I use a lot of Inkey List products including all 5 of your top picks. The Retinol is a great starter product but I recently leveled up to the 1% Paula's Choice. I was FINALLY able to get my hands on the Oat Balm Cleanser and love it! The Tranexamic Acid has been a daily use product for several months but I have the Niod Re:Pigment on order. The Q10 is a daily use product as well. I also use several products on the road in place of other products that I use at home because the packaging is more conducive to travel (for example, rather than carrying the glass bottles from The Ordinary). These include the Collagen Booster, Alpha Arbutin, Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide. I also use the Caffeine Eye Cream but only when I don't have my holy grail Ordinary Caffeine Solution with me! The price is right, the products go on well and they seem to work well. Oh I also use their Salicylic Acid Cleanser but only a couple of times a week and I recently started using the Salicylic Acid Scalp Treatment once a week which I like as well.

I absolutely love the snow mushroom moisturizer because it really soothes irritation from shaving and treatment serums and it's perfect under a sunscreen. I just wish they offered bigger sizes because I don't want to have to keep repurchasing small bottles. I also wish the container was a different design because it's a bit messy. A jar or something would be nice or a more innovative container like their peptide moisturizer (amazing for a night cream)

Great videos as always: have you tried the super drug Me+ serums I’m enjoying their Alphahdroxy Acid Serum and thier Niacinamide Serum doesn’t pull like the ordinarys. I love the Inkey lists Niacinamide Serum, Beta-hydroxy Acid Serum, Salicylic Acid cleanser and Snow mushroom moisturiser. My dislike their Oil Double Cleanser, Alpha Arbutin- not as good as the ordinary and Zinc moisturiser- burnt my eyes, although I think it’s been discontinued. I can’t wait to get my hands on the tranexamic acid serum. Can I mix it with Alpha Arbutin?

Hi Rob, when you "organised" the contest between the ordinary and the Inkey list I would have for sure made the Ordinary the winner! And not only because the Inkey list copied at the beginning the Ordinary recipe! Sure, they started having quite a wide range of more original products, the prices are very good indeed but my very big problem with the Inkey list is that most of the time the "goodies" - that is the actives, the expensive ingredients and the ones that name the product - are right at the end! At the end of the Inkey list... For instance after hearing your very enthusiastic video about their collagen booster I really wanted to buy it. But where are the peptides??? At the very end!!! And the famous phenoxyethanol is no 5. Hepta-peptide product? Sounded so interesting! Again towards the end. Cermide night treatment? The same! Peptide moisturiser? The same! Of course, the answer can be, but they are so cheap! But if you read attentively many of the reviews on cut beauty say their products are not very effective. And it is not the same with the Ordinary! You look at their Buffets, all the peptides are the first, it is a broth of peptides! And they are cheap too. So in general I would consider the Inkey - with just a few exceptions like maybe their cleansing balm or their retinol - just a waste of time and money. I am not at all wealthy but just because of this, I prefer to pay more but for something worthy. So I would rather go for a brand like Niod or Medik8 because there I know what I pay for. And the Ordinary too (sure, except their lousy retinoids...)

The oat cleansing balm is a fantastic cleansing balm.. Also it's one of the few fragrance free ones that I could find. So that will be my go to cleansing balm as long as it's available to ship from lookfantastic without having to pay toll fees. I'm curious about the collagen booster.. how is it meant to be used?

Hey hun, I am totally with you- I adore the balm and is my Holy Grail. In terms of the collagen booster I would use it in place of you hyaluronic acid in your serum step as it is super hydrating at the same time as supporting with the production of collagen and should be used once a day in either the morning or evening .. I hope this helps xx

I agree about the turmeric moisturizer! I am so bummed about the turmeric, hemp and vitamin b e and c moisturizers because they are formulated with such a high concentration of coconut oil. I even bought the hemp one because I was so excited about the calming properties of hemp, but it broke me out! Fortunately i switched the First Aid Beauty Oat and Hemp Dry Oil and I love it!

My problem with the Retinol is that it is advertised as 1% retinol, but this is only a retinol complex called RetiStar. The texture is quite similar to the Paula's Choice 1% Clinical Retinol, but the actual amount of retinol in the Inkey List is actually (according to BASF who are the makers of RetiStar) only about 0.05%, much lower than what people think. It's quite disingenuous marketing from them which is a pity.

I have been following The Inkey List ever since their first day launched at Cult Beauty. Although I have not been repurchasing a lot of their products, but two that has been in my stash ever since are their hyaluronic acid and Q10 serums. I also have been loving their recent products including Oat Cleansing balm (the best cleanser!), Tranexamic acid and also, their C50 Blemish treatment. I have also used their retinol when I first dipped into the retinol world - definitely a great beginner retinol.

I recently splurged on some Inkey List and though I did not purchase any of the products mentioned in the video, as a product junkie I found your video very helpful, or should I say very unhelpful because now I will have to go back and re-purchase the ones I liked plus add a couple more I found interesting from your vide ;) So far I've only tried their Niacinamide serum and Glycolic Toner and I'm still trying to figure out if they work or not (their Niacinamide seems to work better on my skin than the Ordinary's one) so I'd love more videos focusing on each of their most popular or useful ingredients... please? :D

I don't know what it is about the Inkey List but many of their products don't seem to react well with my skin and often sting for like the 1st minute (I have dry skin) EVEN their ceramide night treatment which is so weird (I still use it and I find it works but it stings for like the 1st minute). I still use them and my favs are: PHA toner, Tranexamic Acid, Hemp Moisturizer and Oat Cleansing Balm. I LOVE their haircard products especially the Peptide, Caffeine and Hylaruonic serum. I HATE the tumeric moisturizer - it stinks so much, stung my skin about and wasn't sufficient moisture/hydration for me.

Hi I am a 50 year old female. I have started using Inkey. I use the cleansing balm, followed by Sukin cleansing lotion (Inkey don’t seem to have a cleaning lotion) followed by hyulraonic acid serum morning and evening. And then in the morning extra I use Vitamin C & EGF serum followed by the peptide moisturiser and then sunscreen if going out. In the evening I put the retinol on or glycolic acid before my moisturiser. I think I’ve covered most important bases but I see Inkey have a ceramide moisturiser. I know they have a ceramide serum but I haven’t got the patience to add another step or the money really). If I have to choose between the ceramide moisturiser and the peptide moisturiser what should I go for? Or should I use both and buy the ceramide serum as an extra step. Are ceramides very important at this stage? Many thanks!

The only one I regret buying is the Hepta-Peptide. Total impulse buy, because there's instant gratification when you try it on your hand. It's so smoothing you can't stop touching and looking. But that's purely cosmetic. It's basically a siliconey primer, and putting anything over it will ruin the effect. And how effective will the peptide be if you use it on top of everything else? It's not their cheapest product either.

I asked the ordinary if I should move up to the retinol low strength but they said stick to the granactive. I’ve been using the 2% retinoid in squalane with no issues and thought I should move up but they said to stick with the retinoid. I’m 55 and I don’t have very sensitive skin, what’s your take on it? If you are happy with the results you are getting from it then you do not need to step it up however you will get stronger results from stepping it up to full strength retinol.. I would recommend if you did want to step it up going for a retinol every other day, and on the other days using the inkey list retinol.. That way you will get the maximum results with minimum side effects.. Hope this helps xx

@@MadAboutSkin Oh, thank you! I'm 31 and I started noticing those pesky fine lines around my eyes and wanted to target this particular concern D:. I recently started using Klairs fundamental eye duo, eye gel and eye butter but I'm not sure if it will help with fine lines. Also yesterday I put Differin on my face for the very first time and I'm quite stressed as I've read alot and I know it's a potent product. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate it in my mostly K-beauty based routine as some derms here online, namely Dr Dray, suggest keeping your routine simple. Simple as in cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen. D:

The discrepancy between the pound and the dollar is so teeny bc the American dollar is worth less than it was 15 years ago (when it was like 1.5-2 pounds to 1 dollar). Just in case you were curious:)
